OK maybe I'm being slightly dramatic with my call for biologists, but I'm a very anxious mama in general.

So I breastfeed on demand, and it's rare that I pump. (I hate it!)
Three weeks ago (maybe even a month?) I pumped three bottles to take to my in-laws. There was a barbeque and I didn't want to worry about nursing in front of so many people.
Cut to today: I was going to pump some bottles for tomorrow and was wondering where two of them went. They were still in the mini bottle cooler I'd taken to the in-laws! There was a little bit of milk in each and smelled really sour (obviously). There was a little bit of mold in the cap too.
I'm inclined to just toss the two bottles and buy a new set off amazon. Is that too extreme? I"m so paranoid that mold microbes (lol i'm making that term up) will stay even after a good scrub and sterilization. Is that possible? I realize I'm super paranoid here but I admit that I really AM overly anxious with everything regarding her safety!
