I was wondering this last week!! I bought boy pull ups because diaper changes have been impossible!!! (LO is a girl). No leaks! Another forum pulled up the Huggies response which was somethjng along the lines of "becoming e a big girl/ big boy is a milestone" so seems to be just marketing

Anecdotally, I remember the old advertisement for some diaper/pull-up product used to talk about specialized protection "up front for boys, in the middle for girls"...so that makes me think yes, the extra absorbent gel might be centralized in different areas.

I was just wondering the same thing! DD flipped out over the Thomas ones, but I wasn't sure whether they were as reliable as the girl version for her.
