We've had a lot lately. E finally started stacking things instead of just knocking them down, which is very exciting to me.
He constantly wants to put things in my mouth. Goldfish, cheese, his pacifier (the latter a LOT). And use our hands/fingers like tools. DH was playing with him with his little toy laptop this morning, and all E wanted to do was use DH's finger to press the buttons. DH finally said "No, you can push them yourself" and put his hands behind his back. E stood up, walked around DH's back and pulled his arm/hand/finger back around front to the laptop.
He's learning how to go down stairs. He can get on his belly and crawl down backwards, but when we were at my IL's over the weekend he wanted to walk down, holding my hand. Up and down, over and over. We don't have stairs at our house, so I'm glad he got a chance to practice!
But my favorite was this morning. It was around 5a and I was cuddled with him on the futon in his room nursing. He pulled away and pulled back to look me in the eye and gave me this smile, and I just knew that if he could talk he would have told me how much he loves me. Then I pulled back a little to see him better and he wrapped one hand around the strap of my tanktop and the other clutched around my waist so I couldn't move away. Heart.Melted.

DD: the other day she informed me that her brother was a heathen (something our sitter jokingly calls him); she is like a little tape recorder
DS: while nursing last night DD was playing a matching game on our kindle and DS started laughing every time DD made a mistake and the wrong answer sound played. He never unlatched would just stop nursing smile and laugh then go back to nursing.

Yesterday, I was leaning over B while he was laying on the ground. He grabbed my cheeks, pulled my face down to him, and gave me a big, open-mouthed kiss. ::Heart melts::
I am fully aware that he puts EVERYTHING in his mouth. Still, I like to think that he knew he was giving mommy a kiss.

C has fully perfected his fart noises. He makes them first thing in the morning to let us know he's awake. Does that count as a milestone?
He has also learned how to snap my bra strap while nursing!

@Cherrybee: yay E! She looks such a big girl standing up there! What is that bear(?) with the green arms she's up against?

@bpcmarj: That is the cutest thing ever, honey!
I try not to brag about LO (unlike SO who is quite the braggart) so I'm going to take this wonderful opportunity to. She's been putting on her clothes and her shoes lately...they don't quite match but it's still cute to watch her outfit choices. And she's just so vocal, it's so much easier to communicate with her now and know what she's thinking--we were at a party on Sunday and she was getting hot in her costume, she came up to me and said, "Take it off?" "Hot!"

Lo is 13 months and has started bringing books to me when she she wants me to read them, I usually have to read them 3-4 times in a row before she's happy but I'm so glad she's interested in reading!
She has also reached the cuddling phase! I pick her up and she just wants a cuddle - it melts my heart!
Also her giggles are much more free, she used to make us work for them, but now even just looking at her when I've caught her looking at me has her in a fit of giggles. It's amazing.

My 18 month old is talking a lot, uses many 2-3 word phrases and long words (says "patient" when I ask her to wait, "bless you" when someone sneezes, "love you" after giving a kiss, etc.), pronounces clearly, counts and identifies numbers up to 10, identifies and says all the letters of the alphabet no matter the order, and calls all of her family members by their names. I'm proud of my smart girl! And mostly, I just love having conversations with her

@illumina: its a "sit me up cosy" from the Early Learning Centre. Its an inflatable ring with a soft cover that a baby can sit in. It then folds in two when they are sitting up a bit more.

LO has learned how to wave hi. It's pretty adorable. He'll pop off after nursing and wave at me. I die.
