DS is too little to get the flu vaccine until right smack in the middle of flu season - December. I work in a hospital emergency room so our vaccines are mandatory and early. I got mine yesterday. Since he is EBF will that provide him any protection before he is able to get his vaccine?

I was in the same situation last year and the doctor said yes. No idea if it was at all related to my flu shot, but he didn't get the flu. (Got RSV, but that's a whole other story!)

It will provide some, but you still need to minimize exposures best you can until after the baby gets the vaccine. (well and even after since there are multiple strains of the virus).

DS was 6 months when DH and I got our shots, we felt like he was too little to get his own and that he'd get some protection from me but we all got crazy flu sick about 2 months later
