We all know we're not supposed to bribe your kids. I don't find myself doing it often at all unless I really need something. Example: I have a picky kid when it comes to clothing. I need her to try on some dresses to see which one fits best so I can send the rest back. I will offer her M&M's for letting me get her dressed in 6 different outfits.

I usually bribe him to eat his dinner.
"you can have a pokey stick if you eat some chicken!"

I bribe or bargain a lot more than I should. 
I regularly use food as a distraction in anticipation of a tantrum... IE. he is often terrible to get into the car after daycare or hard to get back in the stroller to leave the park so I might make sure to have a snack with me. Instead of waiting for him to start fighting his car seat or the stroller, I just hand him a snack and buckle him in. Not sure if that is bribery or just smart parenting.

I heard it is a BRIBE if you want them to do something wrong (corruption in government), but it is called an INCENTIVE if you want to reinforce the right behavior! 
I give incentives for a lot of things, but I never bribe.

We usually have to bribe to eat dinner, sometimes to get in her car seat and sometimes to leave somewhere fun.

It's mostly to try on something (clothes, shoes) because she HATES trying on anything new.
