@Weagle: Agreed. We did seat belt install on our trips and felt fine with that.

I didn't. It took up a lot of room and DH talked me through why I wanted to bring it. I was convinced the base would be safer, but really, it's the same thing as the seatbelt.

I wouldn't - I think it's perfectly safe to install with the seatbelt, and one less thing to lug along!

We stupidly did both times, not sure why! I would totally not bring it in the future (although now we've switched to convertibles so it's a moot point). But why lug an extra thing around when it's not needed, since traveling with babies requires so much stuff anyways!
