we looked at both, along with the city mini and select. we went with uppababy. with the bugaboo, you have to buy everything separately, which i didn't like because at the end of the day, you end up spending 2x what you expect to spend. with uppababy, you get everything included (bassinet and seat). we also liked the city mini/select - it was the easiest to fold and steering was the best of the three, but the bassinet is separate. if i had a car that i had to lug it in and out of, maybe we'd have chosen that one and it is a little lighter than the uppababy. but we're car-less, so uppababy it is.

We got a hand me down bugaboo frog. It was a very smooth ride, easy to push but it was way too complicated to fold. We lived in an urban area and in an elevator building at the time so it was fine for us since we never had to fold it. Whenever we needed to get into a cab, we took our umbrella stroller. I agree with mrs bee that a bob revolution would probably be a good choice if you like to jog.

We went to go test drive them on Friday. My thoughts;

The suspension on the bugaboo cameleon is the BEST. It pushes so smoothly, and is super easy to maneuver--almost too easy, as apparently it gets away from parents, hence the wrist strap on teh handlebar. It's also a sleeker, more streamlined look and takes up less space. It's true that the current model can only be folded in 2 pieces but the c3 which is coming out in Sept 2012 (which should work for your Dec. baby?) is going to be foldable in one piece with the toddler seat attached, which is pretty sweet. It does lie down when it folds which I didn't love. DH liked the push on the bug better, and liked the fabric/look better overall. (also, the frog is the older model, not available anymore. the cameleon is basically the same as the frog, only it comes with the bassinet, and the donkey is the double stroller).

The vista's push was definitely not bad--also very smooth. It's a little more "rugged" looking and a wider stroller, which is more obvious when you have the bassinet attachment on. The vista has a much bigger sunshade, and it comes with an added spf50 sunshade. The underbasket storage is way bigger and easier to access.

Honestly, if we were only having one child, we would probably go for the bugaboo. However, the vista allows you to add the rumble seat and turn it into a double stroller. I didn't realize, however, you can't use the bassinet with the rumble seat. So you either need to use the infant car attachment or use this new infant insert for the toddler seat that allows a newborn to use it when it's fully reclined. So right now I think we're leaning toward the vista, but our opinions change every day Sorry for the novel!! And neither is a jogging stroller, so you wouldn't be able to use them for that

I am going to agree that I'm not sure either of these strollers would be good for jogging, although I'm not sure if bugaboo makes a jogging stroller. The best advice I can give you is to go to the store and play around with opening, closing and lifting these strollers. I was eyeing the Britax B-Ready and while I loved it, it was bigger than I wanted and once I tried easier to fold strollers, I couldn't do it. We ended up with the Britax B-Ready and it folds so simple. Press a button and then pull up on the seat tag. Can totally be done one handed and it is SO much lighter than the others. The infant carrier clips right in, and the seat is be enough to accomodate our child as she grows. We paid $182 on Amazon and think it was a great deal.

That being said, we were just gifted a used Uppa Vista and I like this stroller too. The down sides are that it is much bigger and wider, takes up more space, and is no way near as easy to fold. I have a Volvo XC60 SUV and this thing took up the entire back! The plus side is it does have a nice basket on the bottom and the seat can be rear facing, and it also has the bassinet attachment. We think this stroller may be better while she's younger but that we'll probably use the smaller and easier stroller more often. It will be interesting to see what our stroller use ends up being.

You definitely won't be able to jog with either one of these strollers. You'll want a three wheel stroller to jog. We looked at both, but I'll admit we didn't look at the Bugaboo too closely, because I know we will have at least one more child so I did really want something that could convert for additional kids in the future. But even if I could get past that, I hated the way the Bugaboo folded. As hilsy said it lies down to fold which was really awkward for me.

We went for the UppaBaby Vista. The fold was a little tricky to figure out at first but as soon as you get the motion, it's really easy. I'm also a suburbanite with an SUV so while it is large when folded, that really wasn't an issue for me. The push is really smooth and it maneuvers very well. And I LOVE that it comes with a bassinet. We will get the infant car seat adapter and probably won't use the bassinet a whole lot with the stroller, but we will use it all the time around the house.

I am getting the Maclaren Techno XT stroller in black. It's supposed to be very weather friendly, light weight and you can use it from newborn to 55lbs which i like.

I had a bugaboo chameleon with my first baby, an uppa baby vista with my second, and now a BOB for jogging.

The bugaboo C3 is coming out soon like someone mentioned, but I do think its new features are just pretty much catching up to the features of the UB Vista...

I would still prefer the Vista, between the two... Why? Most features are pretty similar between the two brands, but there are a few small differences... Love the Vista's huge canopy and sunshade... Awesome for a napping baby... The basket underneath is much bigger too and that was a must for me as a city dweller without a car. I also love that I used it as a double by just adding the rumble seat when the time came. (I also think the $1,200-1,700 price tag for the bugaboo donkey (double) is absurd!)

But if you only want one, the BOB is excellent since you can jog with it... And I love jogging with it! So easy to push and maneuver. It has awesome suspension for use on grass, dirt paths, or bumpy streets. Love the big sunshade too. Of the three strollers, I do find it to have the easiest and most compact fold. I'd also prefer lifting it in and out of a trunk every day over the other two.

Definitely go to a store and check all of these out for yourself before becoming too set on one. Also, if you lean more towards the Vista, also check out the Britax B-Ready, which is very similar but has more seat configurations for two kiddos later on, and the 2012 version is coming out with new wheels that are supposed to be a huge improvement from past models.

@hilsy85: when 2.0 came along, I kept our bugaboo in the closet and used a snap n go for the infant with a lascal buggy board for my toddler. Sometimes I also kept my toddler in her Maclaren stroller while babywearing the infant. But then winter in NYC hit and I walked a LOT with both kids. sometimes 20-ish blocks. we didn't have a car, and I wasn't a fan of depending on cabs to go everywhere.

At that point, I felt a double was needed so my older one could have a seat (I felt so bad once when she was literally falling asleep for a nap standing on the buggy board!). Also, with it being winter, i wanted a double so both could be warm in a stroller with a wind/cold cover and footmuffs... So yes, that's when I got the UB Vista with rumble seat and our bugaboo just stayed in our closet (and I eventually sold it).

The rumble seat was great for us, but did have some limitations... The biggest being that it doesn't recline. My toddler still napped in it, but she didn't look too comfortable. I got the stroller on CL though, so I was very happy with it for what I paid, being that it's considered a high end stroller too. However, if it weren't for that, I might've gotten the B-Ready instead because I loved all the different seat configurations for 2 seats, especially the recline on the second seat.

My infant was in the UB Vista in her a Graco Snugride (I snagged a good deal on the adapter via local mom's group)... We didn't use the bassinet at all because she was already 4 months at the start of use. At 6-7 months we started using the seat. She faced me for a long time, but then I turned her to look out and at her big sis in the rumble seat, and we all liked this configuration best.
