I would like suggestions for a nice building toy or doll for a little girl 2-4 years old. I'd like something durable--like a nice wood toy or a set like Duplos. Any suggestions for toys your daughters have loved?

The "catch" is that it needs to fit in a shoebox and there should still be some room left over after it's in for things like a toothbrush, socks, crayons, etc. I'd like the toy to be around $20 or less, because I need to get several of them.
