I dont think its odd at all. I think its smart. Like you said, your getting a head start. Most people I know start buying right after they know what they are having. Even some get cute "nuetral" things before they know. I know for me I would be as well as soon as I find out as well! Glad you got some good deals on some cute stuff! I am sure it felt pretty exciting for you as well! ; )

I don't think it's weird either! I feel slightly strange that I'm now 24 weeks and we haven't bough A SINGLE THING yet. I mean there's plenty of time so I'm not really worried, but I think we're strange that we haven't bought anything yet

I haven't bought anything yet, but I could see starting at around 5 months. There's so much money to spend on baby it's better to start early and spread it out a little.

Don't let people make you feel bad for being a smart shopper! If you put it all off till the end, you'll be spending a lot of cash all at once. Now that would suck!

Although I would say you may not want to buy too many baby clothes if you're having a shower. We didn't have to buy anything since people go baby clothes crazy at those things. I do see how you can't turn down such cute pj's that your hubby will love though!

I started right after we found out the gender. Most of what I have so far is second-hand or was given to me.

I don't like most neutral clothes, so I waited until we found out.

I don't think it's odd to buy some stuff early. I enjoyed doing it. But, I enjoy buying clothes for her more now that she's here. It's just so fun. Also, my LO is tall and lean so the clothes I've had to exchange the clothes I've gotten her to get age/seasonal approrpriate stuff. So be sure to also save some money for when he's here

I don't think it's odd at all! You want to buy some stuff for this baby that is growing in you. People just don't understand when they're saying something that just sounds ridiculous to you!

I've start browsing but I've resisted buying only because I know it'll just sit there for many months. I also anticipate we'll be getting a lot of clothes so I don't want to end up with too much.

I don't think it's bad. I started shopping around 22 weeks. I would suggest not buying too much because newborns don't need to have the latest fashions. ^_^
I got so many clothes at my baby shower! My daughter didn't even fit into the 0-3 months clothes until she was 3 months.
I did buy the crib, stroller system, breast pumps, etc. all before I was in my third trimester though.
