What associations/ what is your opinion of this name? (I'm not gonna say boy or girl, want to see what you say...)

For what it's worth we are Irish/ Scottish/ Eastern European heritage living in NY. Husband doesn't love it but I do. Eager to hear what you think!

I like it! I think of a girl.. Not sure why really but that's what came to mind first. I love love last names as middle names too 
my little guy actually has a last name for his first name and one for his middle as well ( both family )

If I heard it, I'd think girl, but seeing that spelling, I think boy. Taron/Taryn is a name I like for someone else's kid; DH really liked it for a girl.

Sounds like a boy's name I guess. Like Aaron with a T? I have never heard of it before. I would imagine you would always have to remind people of the name and spell it out which would drive me crazy!

Agree with @Mrs. Goose: when I hear it I think "Taryn" and girl. Seeing is spelled Taron seems more boyish.

The only Taryn I know is a girl (spelled with a Y). I like it a lot, and love maiden names as middle names!

@pachamama: Right off I thought boy name. But then I remembered an old (female) co-worker with that name, but I think she spelled it Taryn. Pronouced more like "tare-in" then "tare-On"

Seems similar to Taryn and I had a girlfriend with that name. Even with that spelling I would think girl. I like maiden names as middle names.

To me, it sounds like Taryn which is a girl name in my opinion - so not my favorite. But we kept LO's name a secret because we didn't want to know what anyone thought and be influenced by that!

I don't like it, sorry. It looks like a boy name, but sounds like a girl. I wouldn't want my son constantly assumed to be a girl.

@pachamama: I know of a little girl named Taryn, and always liked the name. Spelling it "Taron" makes me think it is a boy. Personally I like the name better for a girl then a boy, because it reminds me of the name Karen. Good luck to you!
