I voted other--some non-clear drinks are (like a milkshake or smoothie is a snack because it's pureed food, like ice cream or fruit), but others aren't (pop isn't)

I think of soda and junk food and smoothies as a snack or meal, milkshakes are dessert

@Raindrop: hmmm I don't know if it's a clear/non-clear thing as much as a thickness/consistency thing to me

I consider any drink with calories a snack. I don't drink anything diet so I'm not sure where that would fall...

Drinks are more of a treat and sometimes a snack Just think the calories we drink.

Treat- Cherry Coke, I drink this once in a blue room
Snack- fancy Starbucks drink, I can sub this all day for food

Hmmm, when I think of snacks I think of food, but when I think of junk food I include drinks with calories and high sugar content lol. I know that sounds weird even to me.

As I previously mentioned, I totally think starbucks/smoothies/milkshakes count as snacking. But i don't count Coke as a snack. It's definitely junk "food" but not a snack. Or juice.. They can accompany a snack but don't really seem like one to me on their own.

@MenagerieMama: so would you consider coffee or tea with sugar to be a snack?

I would basically consider everything except water to be a snack. Granted I do sometimes have snacks with meals, sodas especially but sometimes milkshakes or frapicinos, so they are sometimes drinks too. I'd even consider diet sodas snacks. Basically just not water.

Smoothie or milkshake, snack. Soda or milk, just a drink. Coffee or tea also just a drink, albeit a delicious one.

I would consider any caloric drink to be a treat, but not a snack I guess.

To me, all non-clear, thick drinks are considered snacks since I can get full with them!

Hmm.
To me:
Water = drink
Wine/milk/beer/cocktails = drink (if in moderation)
Smoothies/Juice/Shakes = snacks
Sodas = junk, but not a snack?
