I don't get it? What is the premise behind them? I have a McDonals meal toy, will she enjoy it?

I was dumfounded at first too! They are basically just a 'thing to collect'. However, you can get playsets for them too like shopping malls and grocery stores, etc so that you can do more interactive play. But honestly, I don't love playing with them.
I see them as a collection and not much else. At last count DD had 101 shopkins - its fun for her to collect.

I've always liked little things and collectable type toys so I get the appeal. Lo played with a friend's and liked them so I put a set in her Christmas stocking. She's almost 3 and she keeps the little paper with them and wants to keep track of which ones she has. She also plays with them with her dollhouse and peppa playsets - having the dolls go shopping and buying the little shopkins.

No idea, but my friend's nieces are totally into them and ask for them every Christmas so I pick some up the past 2-3 years. I don't really look at it. Just pick and buy. lol

They are small and cute and somehow they entertain my kids. They make up stories and silly scenarios for their shopkins. I thought they were Kinda dumb but so are a lot of other toys/fads!

No idea, but my niece is into them and that's what I got her for Christmas, she was pumped. Apparently they can trade with their friends and stuff. She had a whole little carrying case with them in it.
