Does a pizza from Costco (the deli counter) count as "take out"? If so, we get a pizza maybe once or twice a month when I go there to shop and then I get one of those bagged salads that you have to mix together to go along with it. Costco is a bit of an ordeal and I haven't figured out how to time a trip there with all the unpacking after and not delay the subsequent meal by an unreasonable amount of time without this shortcut.

I also keep some convenience-type meals from Trader Joe's in the freezer for the nights that there is something else going on, but they require some effort, even if it is minimal.

Otherwise...I barely remember when we last ate out or got take-out. I know the last time I was at a sit-down restaurant was last summer, and we never get delivery.

We hardly ever go out to eat, and I try to limit takeout for both health and financial reasons (I'd say we maybe get dinner twice a month). DH grabs lunch from Subway or the like once or twice a week and it makes me crazy - just take something with you!

We've definitely cut down quite a bit (mainly because or tiny town doesn't have that many options). When we were living in a city it was so easy just to swing through the drive-thru for supper.

Mmmmm chipolte. We get delivery/takeout 1-2 times a week. I could cut down but I don't want to.

We usually get takeout once a week. I'm trying to cut it down to once every other week.....key word trying

No, only because I can't deal with cooking 5-6x/week. We almost always get take out on the weekends. Mama needs a break.

Could I? Maybe - yes. Do I want to? Hells no!

Takeout would be relatively easy to give up as we don't get takeout often and no where delivers where we live.

Eating out though as do weekly and it's fun and a break and I'm definitely not giving it up!

It would be pretty easy since I cook a lot anyway. I used to always order one meal for weekend take out to give me a break, but I'm doing it less now that the kids are older. It's not that hard to cook.

I guess we *could* but we really would not want to. We love getting takeout on the weekends.

Tough question!! I voted no but I think it has a lot to do with where I live ... there is just so much good food in the area it's hard not to be temped to eat out.

I think if I lived in a more rural area or somewhere that didn't have yummy food options I would just cook at home more.

We very rarely eat out. We have very restrictive diets so it is just easier to make food and take it places rather then chance cross contamination. I wish we could eat out more.

One of our financial goals for 2016 is to eat out / get takeaways less because it's just wasting $$ we don't really have so I guess we're about to go without! I've decided I'd rather spend our food budget on going to nice restaurants for special occasions (we live in wine country!) or eat at home rather than getting Macca's.

Twice a week here...would be hard to skip. 2 kids, both of us working, just moved, life's hectic!

No way! Eating out is one of my favorite extracurricular activities. We actually make it a priority in our budget a few times a week since it brings us both a lot of happiness.

No way, not right now anyway. DD is only 7 weeks and likes to cluster feed in the evenings right now. The convenience means more sanity left over.

We can go a few months without eating out, especially when we try to clean up our eating.

We got takeout on NYE, and that was the first time in I don't even know how long. We very, very, very rarely eat out or get takeout. The only time we do is if DH and I are on a date, or if I am out all day with the kids and they are starving. We could probably go a year or more without takeout if we had to. I always cook! (Or, you know, throw chicken nuggets in the oven. )

We go without it most of the time, because we don't like the same things. If I did take out, I would want sushi, Chinese, or other Asian food. My husband prefers pizza or wings for takeout, and our daughter doesn't really like any of those things.

Nahhh. I cook three meals a day, i.need a break on the weekends! Luckily we have a lot of good healthier options but we still do pizza, Chinese etc sometimes.

Not with two kids! I just called for Chinese actually. Haha. We usually do pizza 1x a week, Chinese maybe 1x a month.... I'm not sure how to make dinner now that I'm back to work and we pick the kids up at 6, and I usually need to nurse my little guy. I foresee lots of takeout in our near future.
