When your LO is whining, are you able to ignore it?
I can for a little bit, but some days it's just a constant thing and it eventually gets to me and I can't ignore it anymore! I have no idea how to make it stop, I constantly ask them to please stop whining, but ignoring it is definitely not an option for me.

No. If she wants to whine, she can, but she has to go do it in her room.

I can, but I WOH, so it's not all day, every day. It gets to DH and he starts asking if something's going on with her. I've told him repeatedly that the only thing going on is that she's 3. (And she's not that bad - she's a really good girl most of the time.)

I usually say "I'm sorry I don't understand you when you're whining." and pretend I have no idea what she is saying. She usually stops whining and uses a normal voice when I call her on it.

Not for very long. If it's been a rough day, he gets sent to his room when he's whining.

Some days can be really rough but I just ignore it I guess. If they are asking for something whining doesn't get them anywhere with me (3 yo twins). I say, "I can't understand you when you whine. You'll have to ask me in your normal voice." Then I reward the normal voice. It's worked pretty well for the most part.

I ignore it for the most part but if she is trying to ask for something I am willing to give her, I tell her I can't understand when she whines and she will use a "regular" voice to get me to respond..

It depends on my mood. Sometimes I can tune it out but other times I try to be a good parent and get to the bottom of the issue.

I have gotten better at it. I am not always good but it's gotten easier.
