I was so sad when I came back from maternity leave to discover that my work has blocked Pandora. Boooooo! Can you access Pandora at work? Do you have any suggestions for me of similar sites?

No. We aren't allowed to listen to music of any kind at work. We don't even have speakers on our computers.

@MamaMoose: Boo! I would never be allowed to listen to music at my job. Or have fun of any kind

@cmomma17: @highwire: I think my company blocked it more because of the drain on the computer system. People often have radios on quietly at their desks. Most people are respectful and know to turn it off if a client is around.

I can on my phone, but not on my computer because I don't have speakers. Nobody says anything about it, but I only do it in the afternoon if I'm in my office by myself (I share with another coworker).

you should get a dock for your phone & listen that way! i hook my iphone up to my stereo at home to listen to my pandora app.
i almost always run out of free pandora time because i listen a lot at work- granted i'm listening to dan zanes when at work, haha, so it's not always MY music. my little friends have good taste though =P

@MamaMoose: We are allowed. Most people who do use headphones. When the curmudgeon of the office isn't here, we turn the radio on. I always expect someone from networking to tell us we are draining the network with it, but since we are in IT anyway I wonder if we get a pass/they don't notice with everything we do anyway.

Boo! Can you listen on your phone and get little speakers for your desk? Or headphones?

I could listen on my iPhone but the sound quality isn't as good and I hate draining my battery so much.

Yeah pandora is blocked at my work too. Sometimes I would plug my computer speakers into my phone and that worked well. I hate draining the battery tho. You could get a dock that would charge it too or use a small radio.

I switched to Spotify after we got the okay to download it, I used to switch to Groveshark when Pandora ran out of minutes!

I love the app songza on my phone, I wonder if it is an actual website? What about I heart radio, or last.fm?

Streaming is such a drain on your work's network, so I can see why more employers are cracking down on it! I'm a WAHM so I blast Spotify (Best of 90s playlist, anyone?) all day.
I would buy a cheap dock and use my phone, too!

@MamaMoose: I can listen to Pandora. Have you tried iheartradio.com? I like that website for music as well.
