I have quite a few Lands End canvas totes that I love, but that are disgustingly dirty after being used as daycare / travel bags. The label says "spot clean" only, but that is not cutting it!
Have you thrown your LE or other canvas tote in the washer/dryer? Did it survive? I don't want them to shrink or get ruined!

I don't have a lands end tote, but I've washed others on gentle. I haven't tried drying though.

@HappyBaker: I would probably test on the oldest/least important one. I'd do the gentle or hand wash setting on my washer and hang dry, if it were me.

I have washed them before, they don't turn out well. They get all misshappen and hard.

I have. I didn't use the dryer though. I sort of re shaped and air dryer. Ours has red and it did bleed. We had spilled formula in our tote. Washing was necessary.

I probably would. Or you could always awkwardly hand wash it in the tub. I have to wash pretty much everything for it to be in my life! (By hand I wash silks, cashmere, wool...)

I don't have an LE bag, but I've washed lots of canvas totes in the washer and they turned out fine. I never put them in the dryer though, just lay out flat to dry. I'm too lazy to hand wash anything.

I threw my Coach canvas purse into a "delicates" bag then into both the washer and dryer (low heat).
Came out perfectly fine!!
