My LO likes to squeeze everything out and make a mess but she cries when we hold it for her. Groan...

We struggle a bit with it. What I have found is that she tends to grab it from my hands and squeeze before it gets to her mouth. So when I take the lid off, I actually squeeze the puree to the bottom of the pouch. Then when I hand it off, if she squeezes some it doesn't come out. Once she has it she is really good about just eating it and not squeezing it. Sometimes she throws it down and some spills out but she throws everything.

Those are like crack for her - she LOVES them. I need to get video of how excited she is when we pull them out because it's so funny!
At first we held it because we didn't trust her, but now she'll hold them until it's completely empty. I think she learned it from watching the other kids at daycare.

Not yet, but she's starting to get really independent and stubborn so I can see this becoming a problem soon...

@BabyBoecksMom: You should have seen LO with a green bean (not blended with fruit) pouch the other day...she flung it everywhere! HAHAHA, I probably would have done the same!

at this point she is only 8 months and already she wants to hold it herself but cannot be trusted with it just yet
