LO's first birthday party is scheduled for this afternoon. (Just grandparents, aunts, uncles) She threw up this morning (all her breakfast). No other symptoms and 2 hours later she seems fine. Would you reschedule the party?

If there is no other kiddos, then no I wouldn't cancel. . People understand about a sick baby and will be fine eating cake themselves!

@jedeve: Same. If there were other kids I'd maybe cancel, but a few adults will understand. I hope LO feels good for the party!

It may have just been a fluke thing if she's still acting fine hours later. Personally, I wouldn't cancel. Hope she has fun!

i don't think i would cancel unless she got much worse and like others have said, if there are other babies.....but even then i would call and the parents individually (if it is a small party that is). They may just decide they want to come anyway. I did for a friend's LO's party recently, i didn't want to miss it!

I wouldn't reschedule, but I wouldn't give too big of a piece of cake, either.

Thank you for responding! She was actually ill again after lunch, so we did decide to cancel. Not much fun for her spending her first birthday sick.
