Have they found a reason for the light to keep coming on?

Will they not exchange the vehicle for a new one? That would be the option I'd be pushing for. It could be a lemon, I wouldn't want to be stuck with that...

@BandDmommy: Ugh, how frustrating. I would keep pushing, going as high up as I could. You shouldn't be dealing with issues like this in a brand new vehicle. Ridiculous.

I would push hard for a new one too. I hope they have given you a loaner but in the mean time your brand new car hasn't been usable for a significant amount of time that you have "owned" it. I would be tempted to break the lease too if it turned out they really won't replace it.

I would complain to the maker and probably even post it on social media in some way since companies hate it and tend to do more that way. Even though I know this issue could just be a glitch and nothing, if I could I would get rid of it. It's not worth the stress when having little ones and being pregnant.

2 use for the lease and then turn it in (usually you can buy more miles)

@BandDmommy: Have you done research on Lemon Laws in your state? I think you're in VA, if I'm remembering correctly? It would behoove you to look up what they are and start recording days of service in a month/number of time the same issue happens/etc. It doesn't sound like a car I'd want to keep off lease, though, if it's already giving you trouble.

I'd try to lay down an ultimatum. Fix it NOW...and if this happens again--this check engine shit, whatever--you (Toyota) will replace it with another car. So, one chance to fix it.

@BandDmommy: So have you hit the 3 times in shop for same problem? If so, I would for sure throw it in their face and say "give me a new car based on the Lemon Law" they will know you've done your research.

I would for sure push them too, or you walk away without any paying another dime!
