I am looking at getting a car seat cover soon. I've seen two styles so far, either the canopy or shower cap style. Which do you recommend? I could probably make my own canopy, but am not talented enough for the shower cap.
What's your favorite cover?

LO was born in January, in Canada, and the shower cap style was a must. We had a jolly jumper one and it fit on our britax bsafe.
Had she been born in fall or spring I would have also attempted to make my own canopy style one to protect her from wind and sun.

I loved the canopy for my Dec baby! It was thick enough to keep the cold out, and I loved that it acted as a shade for her to nap in the car too. We were quick to go in & out of houses/buildings, so I didn't feel like we needed a shower cap style one.

We used a blanket as a canopy, but if I was going to buy one, I would have bought the shower cap style cover.

@snowjewelz: I'm not sure how much time DS will really spend outside other than going from house to car. Also I don't think he will last in his bucket seat through the entire winter.

@Eko: I'd def make your own canopy then! DD was in her bucket seat for 7-8 months. She could prob stay in there for longer but we were just tired of it! But I def miss being able to drape the canopy over so she could nap better!
