My MIL finally wants to get a car seat for our toddler. She is 2.5 and 27inches. I am wondering if anyone has any recommendations for a seat that is easy to install, has good safety ratings, and is reasonably priced.
Also wondering if I should suggest a convertible or a 3 in 1.
Any advice would be great.

My parents and MIL both have the Graco MyRide 65. It's easy to install (my parents switch it out between their cars), roomy, safe and well-priced.

We did the Cosco Scenera for grandparent cars. They're comfy and the price can't be beat, but they take some strength to install tightly. If you want really easy to install I would go for a seat with click tight technology!

Pretty sure my mom got the same as @MrsSRS: but it's not installed yet. LO is still only 4mo so I can't say how it is.

Is she forward facing? If so, I would move right to a harnessed booster, like a Graco Nautilus.
