Ok... I know you're not supposed to put a kid with a puffy coat on in the carseat and I understand the reasoning. But every crash test video they show to prove this point, the kid is barely strapped in. Sometimes the straps aren't even over the kid's shoulders and they're definitely never pulled tight enough to pass the pinch test. The Today show piece that I see circulated every year makes me twitchy because the reporter's kid and the crash test dummy are both strapped in ridiculously with enough room to fit your whole arm under the straps.
