Hi!
I've narrowed down my top names to 3 choices for DD2 (due in November).
What do you think of Caroline Therese, Ivy Therese, or Hadley Therese (would probably call her Hattie or Haddie)? Our last name is short and common so anything could work. Also open to other name suggestions!
Other names we like but can't use: Charlotte, Eleanor, Nora, Iris

Caroline! It was my runner up for a girl name. Still love it and will use it if baby number two is a girl.

I think Caroline sounds best with Therese, though I love the name Ivy too.

I love Hadley! It's our top girl choice, but we have 2 boys. Caroline is beautiful, too!!

Caroline! It's my top girl name. I love Eleanor but our dog's name is Ellie so that will never happen if we ever have a girl. I also like Hadley but I feel like Haddie/Hattie is kind of trendy right now.

Oh the top 3 I like Hadley because it is the most unique. Ivy is my least favorite.
I LOVE the name Eleanor!! It popular right now so that might be something to consider if that sort of thing influences your decision.

I've always loved the name Hadley so that's what I voted for but I would just call her Hadley as opposed to a nick name. Caroline is a classic, beautiful name so you really can't go wrong there. But I'm not a fan of Ivy.

I think Caroline is beautiful...especially with your DD's name! My runner-up is Ivy. I love that name.

Carolina is one if my favorite names, but I chose Hadley because it feels more modern to me.

I love both Caroline and Ivy but voted for Caroline since we only got one vote. But I like them equally. I strongly dislike Hadley.

I think those three names are pretty different style-wise. Since your first is named Eleanor, I think Caroline fits best with it.
Do you use a nickname often for Eleanor? Would you use one for Caroline?
I'm not a fan of Hadley with Eleanor, but if you wanted the nickname Hattie, there's Henrietta. I like that it plays off the currently popular Henry name for boys and has the nicknames Hattie and Etta. Just a thought.

Ivy is my favorite of the names, but I think Caroline pairs best with Eleanor.
Or, Hattie is a cute name in and of itself!

@TemperanceBrennan: we would probably use a nickname with Caroline, at least some of the time. We are nickname people. DD1 goes by Nora, but she is named after a family member.
I really like the name Hattie but DH would prefer it not to be the full name. I don't care for Harriet or Henrietta so I thought I would see what people thought about Hadley.

@anbanan15: Eleanor is DD1's name so that's why we are not using it. It got popular right after she was born (of course!).

I like Caroline, could use Carrie as a nickname. Ivy is also nice, its a very "now" name.
