Do you have carpet in your home? Was it already there or did you have it put in? What color is it?
I've been looking at a lot of older homes with forest green or royal blue carpet!

Ours was fairly new carpet, a beige color, even though our home was built in the 70s. We ripped out the carpet though, there are GORGEOUS hardwoods underneath.

The new house we bought had orange shag carpet. I swear it was original to the house. GROSS.
The only rooms that will have carpet are the family room and bedroom hallway. It's a super duper soft & plush, lifetime stain resistant carpet in a charcoal gray. Lurve it. My husband's in the business and he said it's the nicest stuff out there right now that money can buy. hehe It was funny because he tells his customer that he had to sell his own wife on the carpet. He told me that neither red wine or bleach would stain this carpet. I did not believe him. We did a test and he was right!

We have carpet in the bedrooms, it came with the house. It's just a tan color though, nothing exciting or bad thank goodness.

No carpet, all wood ( I wouldn't call them hardwood floors though, the bamboo is so soft it gets trashed by anything!) and tile in the kitchen & bath.

Bedrooms and basement have taupe carpet. They all need to be replaced in the next year or so

We have a very light beige colored carpet, it's disgusting, I'm pretty sure it's orginial with the house (9 years old) but it's seen a lot of life. Hopefully we can replace it soon with a darker color that is nicer and clean!

Our house has carpet in the bedrooms, family room, and my office. It's beige, thankfully! I grew up in a house with both forest green and royal blue carpets. Not my favorites.

I did when I moved in (dirty beige) in the upstairs bedrooms, hallway, and stairs. I've slowly been transitioning over to other types of flooring that are easier to clean the fur off of. Plus my cats have taken great joy in trying to dig into the bedrooms -_-;;.
This was our project from Labor Day weekend!:

Ew! There's nothing I hate more than forest green carpeting. I've never seen royal blue! That's just wrong.
Our house was remodeled before we bought it, so there is brand new laminate throughout. Which is now all scratched to hell from the cat after just 5 months, but whatever.

@autumnlove: Ugh, yes! Right next to each other, no less! There was also 70 year old orange/dirt colored "carpet" in the attic. My parents' house had a lot of personality...

It was already there and the same color as Strawberry bee's carpet. It's not awful, but I prefer hardwood, so as soon as it gets nasty enough to need replacing, we're getting hardwoods!

@ladyfingers: Thanks! It's actually a laminate. Wish we could afford hardwood, but I don't think we could install it ourselves.
The carpet in that room was actually some bound remnant that the prior owners took home and just put on top of the existing carpet pad (which was cr@p) and tack strips. Professional job it wasn't!
The house I grew up in was pretty colorful (gotta love 70's coloring). We had royal blue carpet, brick red carpet, brown (!) carpet, and a mustard yellow kitchen. The carpet in my bedroom was a textured royal blue/red combo. Which I delightfully paired with lavender walls.

Our house has dirty beige carpeting which we have been replacing room by room with hardwood.
The house I grew up in was built in the 70's and had shag carpet everywhere-even the kitchen! We had red in the living room and kitchen, cookie monster blue and hot pink in the bedrooms, and avocado and mustard in the other rooms! It was awful and it took my parents years to replace it all.

there's beige carpet that came with the house in our great room and den.
there's also a mustardish dark beig shag carpet that is throughout the two staircases and upstairs hallway and master bedroom/dressing room.
The two guest rooms have hardwood and it's ceramic stone throughout the foyer/kitchen.
