So we got lots of great stuff at our baby shower for our LO coming in June, but I need to purchase some more practical clothing items - footed sleepers, etc. There is a Carter's outlet about 45 minutes away, that also has some other good shops it wouldn't hurt to pay a visit to. Otherwise I've got Target and the internet at my disposal.
For those of you who have been to the outlets, are the deals good enough to be worth the trip?

With sales and coupons, definitely. Get on their email list and watch their sale cycle and get a coupon or two and hit it up!

is it an actual outlet? i live near wrentham premium outlets, which is full of outlets - but the Carter's store in there is a regular Carter's store. I asked the cashier why they had the same deals as the regular stores and she told me they aren't an actual outlet store.
so if it's an actual outlet - i have no idea, lol. but if it's the same as every other store, the deals are kind of the same across the board.

Our outlet store had the same stuff as the regular store, but I'm not sure if it was techincally an outlet or not. But it was totally worth it, you could use your coupons and et so much stuff for a good price!

I get better deals on carters at kohls and tj maxx than i get at the outlet

@sorrycharlie: I hate "outlets" like that! Don't be in an outlet mall if you aren't a real outlet! Good to know about the one in Wrentham.

Yeah- ours (outside Chicago) isn't an outlet either even though it's in an outlet mall. I got most of my sleepers at TJ Maxx or Marshall's. If you don't have a regular Carter's store nearby you can usually get good deals online during their big sales with coupons and free shipping.

The Carter's at our outlet mall is just a regular store but with coupons it can be cheaper. There are some great steals on Carter's at tj maxx and Marshall's like they said. Carter's will have the best selection though.

Thanks everyone for chiming in! The outlet I'm thinking of is in a premium outlet mall so I'm thinking it's probably just the regular store, like most of you have experienced. Sounds like it's probably not worth a special trip - if I find myself there of course....
