Which is better/more durable?
I am in need of summer clothes for both DD (3yo) and DS (7m). I like to get the best for my money and am no into designer stuff.

I find most of the stuff at The Children's Place to look and feel cheap. I much prefer Carter's

I have stuff from both and I like both but Carter's seems to last longer for my LO. The things she's gotten from The Children's Place are nice but seem to fit a bit smaller on her (but are still super cute and the fabric has been durable). My LO is pretty tall too so that contributes to clothes being kind of short sometimes.
Edit: We do have a lot more from Carter's though so I can't comment on some things. This is based on two shirts, a pair of jeans, and a dress from The Children's Place.

I like to shop at consignment stores- you can get better brands for cheaper. I usually pay a little less then I could pay at Target, but the clothes are much better and durable.

My son fits Carters clothes better so I like their stuff more but I do think TCP has awesome hats, jackets, ect.

We wear primarily Children's Place. They fit both my munchkins MUCH better (slender for their height) & I can get nice things & play wear for both of them at the same place (ages 9 & 1) and they are ALWAYS on sale & Mondays they have free shipping!
I still get our onesies from Carter's (more due to vast selection) but otherwise I prefer the style pieces at Children's Place (we don't really wear leggings &/or sleepers).

Another vote for Carter's. I feel like her Carter's stuff stays nicer longer.

Carters! Though TCP does have super cute clothes ... I think it's not as soft as Carters or last as long. Good for pictures... is what I'm saying.

Carter's holds up better in my opinion, CHildren's Place I go to for more special occasion stuff.

Carter's. I think the clothes are better quality and have a better fit. My LO is super skinny, but quite tall and Carter's has always worked better than TCP.

@Weagle: Really? I just got a couple skirts in 3-6 month size for P (1 years old, almost 17lb & 27.5 inches) and they fell clean off of her! =( All of Carters stuff (minus onesies & 1-3mth shoes) are so big on her. =(

Carters. They fit my tall girl the best, and I can stretch out their sizes in some things (ex. She is wearing 24m leggings from them for length, but is wearing 9m onesies as undershirts. She was in 9 and 12m sleepers at about the same time, too). Their clothes wash really well and are still in great condition even after MONTHS of wear.

We prefer Carter's. The few pieces we had from CP were very slim and didn't fit well.

I like them both. The knits at TCP are pretty nice, especially since I only shop from their clearance rack + promos. I also love their leggings, I think they're softer and nicer than the last Carter's batch of leggings I bought.
My vote is whatever has the better promotion + free shipping.
