I am loving our 2 flips with hemp prefolds or flour sack towels. LO is 8 months - I am half tempted to sell off all our FB and BG pockets and just do Flips. Am I crazy?? Did you/do you have any absorbency issues as your baby got older?

I'll trade you my flips for your bg!
We used the stay dry inserts with our flips, and loved the whole shebang. But at about 11 months my kids started drinking a lot more water and really soaking their dipes. The flips just weren't keeping their skin dry enough anymore. Bummer! My cd store said using hemp would probably help, but the clerk had the same issue too. Our kids just seemed to be less irritated with the bg pockes, so we just decided to go with them full time.

@scg00387: We use both the pockets and the flips with our 19 month old. I have to say that we definitely prefer the pocket diapers because the flip inserts move around too much with our super active daughter, and we seem to get more leaks/blowouts. I love love the flips for smaller babies who poop a lot, but not so much for my toddler.
ETA: We use the microfiber inserts, so maybe you have better luck with those hemp prefolds?

I love my flips with the organic prefolds in them. They are REALLY absorbent and I think get a tighter leg fit then some of my others on my toddler. We have never really had a leak, but poops in them are really a pain and messy. It just gets all over the cover and prefold even though we have a liner in there.

@T.H.O.U.: thanks! i'm thinking the organic cotton/hemp is more absorbent over all so maybe it is do-able!

I loved them on my toddler. We used a red GMD prefold trifolded and had no issues until we potty trained at 22 months. That said, he hardly ever pooped in the diapers so I didn't have to deal with that messiness too much.
