DD's lips have been so dry this winter! What chapstick do you recommend for a 2.5 and a 5 year old? TIA!

I had the same issues with my kids lips. I had two chapsticks that were 'natural' (we got it free from a dentist). I went to Target to check and the ones with characters are so cute but they are over $5
Based on my experience, I would go with EOS because of the shape: the two that we have at home are already all stuck in the cap.

During the day DD (3) uses whatever is around - my Chapstick brand or lip smackers she got in her stocking at Christmas. She puts it on herself but has to ask us to get it first. But we put aquaphor on her lips at night and that makes the biggest difference.

I use BeautyCounter lip conditioner for both mine. DD1 (4) does it herself, DD2 I do it for her...since the majority of it goes in their mouths I wanted to make sure it was safer ingredients.

I just let her use my chapsticks: Chapstick brand, Burt's Bee's and some tin of rose something or other from Sephora. I'm not concerned a special "kids" chapstick.

We use Burt’s Bees. DH and I have been using it for years. We have to help our 3.5 year old or he puts it everywhere!

For my 5 year old, I use Aquaphor at night and Chapstick during the day (she has also used EOS, and she tried Burt's Bees but didn't like the taste). For my almost 18 month old, I only use Aquaphor.

DD1 was always trying to take my Burt's Bees so DH picked her up some Carmex, which seems to stay on and heal her lips better.

I use Burt's Bees. DS loves it so much that Santa put it in his stocking this year.

@Mrs. Champagne: eos really irritates my lips, so I believe him!
I let her use a random one she got from the dentist or mine. She doesn’t use it often enough for me to worry about which one it is.

@dolphin: i find that the aquaphor for lips or little vaseline tins work best. The actual chapstick sticks dont seem as moisturizing to me and dont last as long

@Mrsbells: Agreed!
We use straight Vaseline on lips (both the kids and my own). Plus it doesn't have all the extra stuff that chapsticks have. My kids have sensitive skin and anything besides Vaseline will cause irritation.

DD got several Disney tsum tsum lip smackers in her Christmas stocking, and they are shaped like eos. We also use Burts Bees and Aquaphor.

I put aquaphor on right before they go to bed. everything else gets licked off and doesn't seem to help.

Same as others - we use aquaphor and regular coconut oil on our two year old. He has chapped lips/chin from the cold

My kiddo is in love with aloha coconut chapstick! I love it too, but she gets them all dirty, so I’m going to have to find another.

Burt’s bees here. I prefer natural products and this has been the best easy to find option for us.
