Do you get/make your LO character birthday cakes or cupcakes for their birthdays?
We don't have birthday parties but the biggest excitement for the girls is choosing a character for their cake for immediate family to enjoy. My mom just makes them, so no money spent! I know the professional ones can get up there in price.

Yup - but I make them and it's simply a toy they can later play with. I've done Daniel Tiger (twice!), Curious George and Paw Patrol for DD1 so far. I'm leaning towards Pete The Cat for DD2's second birthday in 2 months since she's obsessed with the books..

We did an Octonauts cake last year- had a professionally done ocean cake and stuck figurines on there. It was cute!

I also use toys he can play with again later. This year was Lightning McQueen and Sally parked beside his cake! I have also done Daniel Tiger and friends.

We did for his 1st birthday, but got him a regular cake for his 2nd. Will probably get him a character cake for his 3rd birthday in 3 weeks since he is aware of them. We get them at the local grocery store and they're not that much more than regular cake purchased there.

Yep, first it was Hungry Caterpillar, then I did a Mickey Mouse cake, and most recently, Spiderman.

I made a Daniel Tiger cake last year and she loved it (though she loved that it was cake more than anything). This year she has requested a kittycat cake.

We've never done a character cake but I am excited to for her 3rd birthday! First birthday was not a character theme. Her second birthday was Thomas themed but we just did regular cupcakes with Thomas liners. We'll definitely do a big fun cake this year because she's old enough to really get into it.
