Dh said this week he wishes we had just gotten the monitor from the beginning. I can't even tell you how much less stressful it has been for us so far this time because we know when to focus. It likely Also helped that we are on vacation til tomorrow
but even so, it's so great!

I also heard many reviews about women getting pregnant in their first or second month using the CBEFM, so let's hope that holds true for all of us!

@ambular1025 @jojogirl: well when you ladies get your BFPs remember those of use on boards who are very willing to buy a used monitor, hint, hint!

@jojogirl: I bet being on vacation helps too!
I'm sorry but I need a second to whine. I think I'm getting sick. My throat is sore, I'm beyond tired, my back hurts, I have a headache and my tummy doesn't feel so great. In a nutshell I feel like crap. I've only been back to work with kids for a week. Man, they work fast! *whining over*

@Grace I'm so sorry AF showed up. Hopefully your doctor will get you in really soon and get the ball rolling so you can get some answers.
@Ambular It looks like we're (unfortunately) cycle buddies again too! Let's hope this is the last time, right?
@Alison206 I'm thinking this is just a late BFP...*especially* now that you're starting to feel icky...I used to be a teacher too and think your immunity could be down!
@Jojogirl Yay for + OPK and Peak!
@April_Showers: Looking at your chart, I'm wondering if you're having a hard time guessing when to BD because you don't have many days of EWCM before you O so it kind of sneaks up on you? It sounds like a monitor might be helpful!
Usually when AF starts I'm so ready to get going (which is good, because I think O will be around CD11 this cycle!) but AF was pretty uncomfortable this time and I am just not thinking about BD right now!
If I set my monitor window for 5-11 am but find that it's possible I might wake up to go to the bathroom earlier than 5, should I try to change the window tomorrow since it'll still be CD4? (Is that how it works?)
grapefruit / 4079 posts
@spaniellove: I have no monitor wisdom to give. I would think that at cd 4 you could change it. You're still really early in the cycle and isn't it suggested you use it by CD 5? or something?
I'd like to think feeling bad is pregnancy, however, I think it's odd that I'm still getting BFNs.

@alison206: Either way it can't hurt to wipe the tables/desks down with Clorox wipes and encourage lots of handwashing, I guess!

@spaniellove: I know, but we usually start a little sooner then I see "fertility" signs. That's why we considered trying pre-seed this cycle. DH doesn't want to go there yet, but I think that it is probably needed as well.
@alison206: Id like to think that they are BFP symptoms too! But it could be from the kiddos...
pomelo / 5041 posts
@Spaniellove: Yes, sadly we're cycle buddies again, but it's nice having someone on the journey with me. I too hope this is the last time for both of us.
Don't worry too much about those midnight pee breaks, but yes you can reset the monitor since tomorrow is only cd4 (I forgot to set mine today and have to do it tomorrow). I get up to pee in the middle of the night anywhere from 1am-4:30am and I still pee on a stick for the monitor at 6am. It hasn't seemed to effect anything for me. I do try to hold it as much as I can though if I'm really close to test time. 6am works perfect for me because it gives me a window of 3-9am which seems to cover all days of the week pretty well.
@April_Showers: We're trying preseed this cycle (ordered it yesterday) so I'll let you know how we like it. I'm also coupling that with FertileCM and maybe even Mucinex this time. I want to do everything I can!

Hi ladies,
Although we're not currently TTC, I have just come off BC and we are hoping to try in the next few months - but I wanted to start charting right away to help try and recognize if my cycles are returning to 'normal' (whatever that is, after pretty much 10 years on BC who knows!).
I was wondering if any of you kind ladies who have also charted right after coming off BC (if there are any of you out there) would mind sharing your charts please? I've only been doing this a couple of weeks but I have been surprised how relatively consistent my temps appear to be - and have seen no significant rise to signify whether I've O'd (which I'm not concerned by, yet...). I'm actually using an iPhone app called "period tracker" rather than FF (I just didn't like the user interface, but I might try it again sometime). Unfortunately there's no way to share a chart from there though.
Anyways, thanks for having me here too, and I'll play along so you can get to know me:
Age:29 (30 later this month)
Where From: UK
TTC Cycle: not TTC yet, but soon...
# of pregnancies: none yet
Pets: Two tabby cats, one fluffy (but rather elderly geriatric) bunny.
Occupation: I'm a user interface designer at a telecoms firm.

@evenstar982: Welcome! I went of BC at the beginning of this year (February 18th was my withdrawl bleed). I didn't start charting till the following month but here ya go! I did enter my period dates for Feb but didn't temp.
Hopefully that lets you see the March 21st chart. However, I did get pregnant that month because FF predicted my O dates perfectly.

My Morning:
Last night - convinced myself that AF was coming this morning. It's ok to cry, you'll move on and try again.
4:00am - Wake up, temp. It dropped (97.18). Wake up hubby to tell him, and go pee.
7:00am - Wake up at normal time, pee. It went back up! 98.34.
8:10am - Holding pee so I can test again. Goal is to make it till 9am. However, I am SOOOO scared. What if I get another BFN. Maybe I should wait a couple of days. But then hubby won't be home when I wake up and I don't want him to miss it. Ahhhh. 14dpo should be a safe bet.

@Alison206 Ahhhhhh, I'm totally going to be stalking this thread for an update!
grapefruit / 4079 posts
@trailmix: I am so nervous. I feel like if I test today (14dpo) and I get a BFN then all chances are gone.
nectarine / 2152 posts
@Alison206 I'm sorry, that must've been so disappointing!! I just am having a hard time believing it though, based on your chart...I obviously don't want to give you false hope but it is totally possible that FF is a day or two off on your O date, so it still could be early or you could get a late positive....I guess we'll see what tmrw's temps bring but I am so surprised, I really thought you'd get a BFP today
grapefruit / 4079 posts
@trailmix: I did too, I feel pregnant. My symptoms last time were bloating, fatigue, and horrible acne. I have all of the above. I was excited when I O'd 9 days earlier then the previous month but now my LP is already a day longer. With our previous pregnancy I tested negative at 12dpo and didn't test again till 16dpo where I got my bfp. But that makes me nervous because my hormones were off and a late test will make me fear for that again. Is it weird that my temps are flat? Everyone elses are jagged.
honeydew / 7916 posts
@alison206: So sorry about the BFN.
It's not weird that your temps are flat, they're just stable. That can be a good thing.
honeydew / 7916 posts
@evenstar982: Hi and welcome! Is it possible for you to take a screenshot of your temps from the app to share?
cherry / 245 posts
@evenstar982: welcome! I just came off my BCPs in May, but I didnt temp right out of the gate either. Here is my chart though.
cherry / 245 posts
@alison206: maybe you should see about a blood test. Your chart is so pretty, I do not believe your BFN.
grapefruit / 4079 posts
@april_showers @spainellove: thanks ladies. I'm so disappointed. If AF isn't here by Wednesday morning I'm going to test again. Then wait again till Friday. If I still get a BFN Friday I'm going to call my doctor because that'll be 18 dpo which is crazy.
cherry / 245 posts
@alison206: I think I would call Wednesday. That way you can get in Friday.
I don't know that I could wait another 3-4 days after waiting 18 and nothing. Plus your already concerned, I would try to get in this week, even if it's just to ease your fears.
apricot / 284 posts
@April_Showers: thanks for sharing!
@spaniellove: you can see my chart here http://www.flickr.com/photos/handmadeimperfection/7922015408/ though I may not leave it there long as I'm not overly keen on my friends seeing it through flickr and getting the idea we're actively trying!
Maybe I will have to give FF another chance after all! It does seem very handy to have the community side of things and the ability to share more easily.
@alison206: have to admit since I've been stalking this thread for a while I've been following everyone's progress - keep your chin up it does look like a very pretty chart!
grapefruit / 4079 posts
@april_showers @trailmix @evenstar982: I typed all my data into countdown to pregnancy and they gave me a different O date. Maybe thats the issue? Maybe I O'd later than FF thinks. However, BDing kinda stopped right after O so...
cherry / 245 posts
@evenstar982: your chart is looking good. I would actually guess that you may be getting ready to O. Have you been tracking your other signs too, or just your temps? A lot of charts have a temp dip right before O. The user interface for FF does take some getting used to, but once you get the hang of it, it's not so bad. The app is good for daily logging, but not much else. I find I go to the website for most things.
honeydew / 7916 posts
@evenstar982: Okay I have it up on my screen! You might end up liking FF once you get the hang of it. While the interface is not pretty (and is really circa 1995), it is more satisfying if you like data. What I'm seeing on your chart isn't that they're flat, but that you haven't O'ed yet - and at around 18 dpo just off BCP that's okay! Where FF gives you more than the app you're using now is that you'd be logging things like CM, so you might be able to tell if the temp rises could be your body's attempts to O.
grapefruit / 4079 posts
@spaniellove: no it gave me CD 28. Looking at it myself I kinda thought maybe I O'd CD 23. Is that your thought too? BDing would line up well!
honeydew / 7916 posts
@alison206: Sometimes with a fallback rise (especially because you have an open circle in between) I question whether the O date is correct. Have you tried the different ovulation detection methods on FF? I'm not buying the really late O date, though...
cherry / 245 posts
@alison206: I don't think you Od that late. If I had to assume FF was wrong I would have picked either CD 23-24 for O. This chart doesn't have a coverline drawn, but CD 23 is the only temp that is anywhere close to your normal temps. That date that they picked your temp is very high compared to earlier cycle temps.
grapefruit / 4079 posts
@spaniellove: I entered watery CM (which I had but didn't enter because I didn't think it was that imporant) and it changed my O date. Oh man now that pressure is on for tomorrow since my l phase is 12 days!
honeydew / 7916 posts
@alison206: Watery CM is still fertile! No pressure, it just means you have more possibilities!
cherry / 245 posts
@alison206: That looks better. I think that's probably right. If you discard that temp altogether does it give you the same day?
grapefruit / 4079 posts
@april_showers: if I discard the open circle temp it takes my O date to CD 20.
grapefruit / 4079 posts
@april_showers: lol I like it too. I will pick the O date I like better! However, that means tomorrow is the tell all day with temps!
