@JoJoGirl: I'm sure if it weren't for her passing I wouldn't be TTC now, because it wasn't until I saw her after all those years that I realized she was my mom and I was her baby, and I could have that relationship with a baby of my own too.

@spaniellove: I feel very blessed to have met him =) Yes, her dog IS velcro. In fact, she turned four today =) SOO cute! I love Cocker Spaniels too. They are soooo cute. So I'm new to HB, you have MF issues? I'm so sorry =( Is there any reason for it?
@JoJoGirl: I hope so too! And you're exactly right, like I'm happy I have something to treat, but soo sad about what it is, but still the happiness about the plan outweighs everything. =) Where are you at in your cycle? I don't have your chart bookmarked at this computer!!
@Grace: He did not explain why he thought they were anov. But that was the first one he pointed at saying that it was. I know, I thought that one of all my charts was the most normal looking. I hope it's all treatable and everything goes smoothly from here on out =) How are you doing? Your chart is bookmarked on my home computer not on my work computer, sorry!!!
@Rachel: LMAO!! I never thought about that - ChuckNorris's menstrual cycle. One of the girls on WB said, "I can't wait to write 'Chuck Norris is KU!!' " hahaha, that one cracked me up too. I could feel my heart racing when she was taking my vitals - it's so weird being AT my WORK. So the girl doing my vitals is like my friend!! So she KNEW that I was having lady problems because she knows the doctor. Haha. I'm like, don't judge me, my pulse/BP will be skyyyy high!
@April_Showers: Thank you for your support!!!!
Thank you everyone for all your help and responses. I love the bees for that reason... You guys are all the bomb =)

@ChuckNorris: I dont think I have a link to your charts - can you repost it?
cantaloupe / 6730 posts
@ChuckNorris: Huh. I tried to go back and see if my charts look "classically annovaltory", but I couldn't tell. Might have to do some research later. I'm doing fine. We've had company for the past week or so, so it's been busy and I haven't been charting. I took a temp this morning and it was exactly the same as last week. Weird.
I bought TCOYF (finally). I thought I pretty much knew how to chart, but boy oh boy, information overload!!

@ChuckNorris: We are friends on FF! I'm around 6dpo today, cycle 6. Here's my chart:

@spaniellove: I don't think they do either, but ChuckNorris' July one didn't either (to me).

@Grace: @ChuckNorris: Do you mean the cycle starting in mid-June or the one starting at the end of July?
apricot / 368 posts
@spaniellove: You bet! Here: http://www.fertilityfriend.com/home/totesmahgoats
@Grace: Haha really?!?! I STILL haven't read it. I've learned everything I thought I needed to know from FF's tutorials. I really need to read it...
@JoJoGirl: Gosh I ALWAYS forget that I have friends on FF now!!!! I'm sorry lol. Chart is looking fab =) How are you feeling about it? Optimistic? Eh? Somewhere in between?
cantaloupe / 6206 posts
@ChuckNorris: Cautiously optimistic, mostly because I'm happy with the monitor and thus our BD timing this month + pre-seed + we were on vacation during that pre-O BD so weren't stressed at all. Trying not to read too much into my temps. We'll see though, it's still crazy early. Oh and PS I think FF is off by a day or two with my O date, I think I Od CD 18 or 19, not CD20.
apricot / 368 posts
@JoJoGirl: Well that's very exciting! I'm excited for you =) Fingers are so crossed. When are you testing?

@JoJoGirl: Yay for ovulating and good timing!!! Fingers crossed for you
cantaloupe / 6206 posts
@ChuckNorris: @sslm: Thanks ladies. I'm going to try to hold out until Saturday, which will be 11/12dpo. I've never been able to wait much past 10dpo, though. My lp was so long last month FF doesn't estimate AF coming til next Thursday! That's not going to happen
coffee bean / 30 posts
Holy temp drop today!! I thought the progesterone was meant to prevent this, but it looks as though I'm going to have AF right on time. Anyone familiar with this?
Looks like I'll be joining @alison206 on baby-making vacation. That's ok, though, I could use some time of no-anxiety sex for a while and not just calling it "baby time". I'll still stalk, don't worry.
cantaloupe / 6206 posts
@JennKam: Hmm, your LP seems to be a pretty good length, no? Today is 13dpo.... is the progesterone supposed to lengthen it even further than that?
Either way, I'm so so sorry about the temp drop and BFN Hugs to you during your TTC break!
cantaloupe / 6730 posts
@JennKam: I'm not sure. Maybe the progesterone that you are taking is only in a dose that will work with your natural progesterone? So once your body stops making it, the supplement isn't high enough to sustain the high temps on it's own?
@ChuckNorris: Here's two tidbits from TCOYF that I never knew for you:
1). If CM leaves a round damp mark on your undies, it's fertile (happens because there is a higher water content). If it leaves vertical streaks, it's not fertile.
2) If you do kegels after sex (after the 30 min to let the sperm up to the cervix when TTC), then you push out all the sperm and you don't have such a problem differentiating between old sperm and EWCM the next day.
honeydew / 7916 posts
@JennKam: So sorry to hear about your temp drop. I think on progesterone some people have to stop taking it to get AF and some people get AF on time w/o stopping it. No-anxiety sex sounds like it would be a huge weight lifted off your shoulders!

what do you guys think of my chart? it's been really hot here and i don't know if that's why my temps are so high... and i O-ed earlier than normal... but thank God we BD'ed that day! LOL...
pomelo / 5041 posts
@MsSally: your chart looks good! Not too many days until testing! Maybe a week or less?
blogger / apricot / 349 posts
@ambular1025- i just started work again (teaching) after labor day so it's been BUSY non stop. i teach first grade and i have 33 kids until they do reorganization in two weeks... so if i remember to test, i may test in a week... or i'll just wait for my period.

Hi again ladies, well boy did I have an interesting weekend... on Friday DH told me he wants to start TTC in October/November! Woo-to-the-proverbial-hoo!
Sooo, bearing in mind that I'm still only on my first cycle post-BCP I have told him of course YES but that it may take a few months still for us to figure out what's going on with my cycles. I'm feeling frustrated today though as I am now on CD28 and still no sign that I have O'd! I know this isn't really something to worry about yet since its only the first month off BC but I could do with some reassurance from any of you lovely ladies who experienced really long cycles post-BCP; roughly how long did you take to O?
Really I'd just like a sign that my body is capable of making a baby, unfortunately I am NOT a patient person!
Any pearls of wisdom?
cantaloupe / 6206 posts
@mssally: WOW your chart looks super promising!!!
@evenstar982: Welcome! Are you charting? What makes you think you haven't Od yet? Congrats on the TTC news!!!
As for me, my temps have been flat these last few days which is super weird, especially since I've woken up at 3 different times all 3 days (5:45am, then 5:30am, then 5:05 am this morning - ouch). Today it was .01 degree higher than yesterday so I don't think the issue is my thermometer, but who knows.
@April_Showers: nice spike today!
@SpanielLove: Nice DIP today!! I bet you get a "P" tomorrow!
@ChuckNorris: WOOHOO CROSSHAIRS!
cantaloupe / 6730 posts
@evenstar982: You're chart looks fine! I've never been on BCP, so I can't really help you (although, I'm sure I've read from some girls that it took 6 months, so don't worry). But you are getting a bunch of good CM, so O can't be that far away.
Plus, remember that hormones are tricky. They play off a feedback loop and a bunch of them talk to eachother. Now all of a sudden that steady presence of hormones from your BCP are gone and they have to get used to the new norm. It's not surprising at all, that you would O later than you would expect. Hang in there!
cantaloupe / 6730 posts
@JoJoGirl: Haha! My temps do that too and I keep thinking it's the thermometer. I took some temps at night just to make sure it was still working.
cantaloupe / 6206 posts
@Grace: Oh that's a good idea, I'll try that later.
Also had some MAJOR spotting this am with matter in it (sorry for TMI!). I'm really hoping my LP didn't drop to like 8 days this month, that would be a bummer.
apricot / 284 posts
@Grace: thanks for the reassurance!
@JoJoGirl: hello! yes, I am charting (started about a week after my cycle started though), feel free to look me up on FF (same username) if you like... I'm just looking for the temperature change and and sign of crosshairs on my chart, but nothing yet (www.fertilityfriend.com/home/3ec68a)
cantaloupe / 6206 posts
@Trailmix: eeeek.
@evenstar982: Chart looks great! Hope you O soon!!!
honeydew / 7916 posts
@JoJoGirl: I don't think that's end-of-LP spotting at all! Looks more like it could be implantation spotting to me!
cantaloupe / 6206 posts
@spaniellove:
Not to be gross about it.. but I was at the gym and started getting undressed to take a shower, and there was so much and it SO surprised me I literally yelled "OH MY GOD" out loud and ran into a bathroom stall. Haha. Timing is right I guess, but I'm so tired of thinking this is it and being wrong! How do I talk myself out of this one?!
pear / 1974 posts
@JoJoGirl: what a great looking chart you've got there! Your timing looks perfect!!
This is my first month I am going to stick to charting through the ENTIRE cycle (I've tried 3 months prior and gave up in the middle, totally defeating the purpose of charting)- I can't wait to see what my chart looks like at the end!
Also, a stupid question - what does the MON label mean??
GOLD / wonderful coconut / 33402 posts
@JoJoGirl: has the stopping stopped?? Fingers crossed for you!!
honeydew / 7916 posts
@JoJoGirl: Do you usually spot around 7-8 dpo? If not, then I'd say that's a good sign?
cherry / 245 posts
@JoJoGirl: haha! Thanks...I think its a fluke. I woke up and still had a pos OPK, and watery CM. So I took it again just to be sure and it was back down to 97.1. So we will see how the rest of the day goes before I believe it. As far as your spotting, its exciting! I agree I don't think its end of LP. Its really early for that.
@evenstar982: I think you are going to O sooner rather than later. I didn't temp my first month off BCP because I was worried about over analyzing everything. I wanted to add one thing at a time. But your chart is looking good!
@mssally: Your chart looks great! I bet your super busy with all of those kiddos.
honeydew / 7916 posts
@mssally: 33 first graders! Whew! I've had classes that size with middle school grades (taught in K-8) but first graders have intense needs and short attention spans. Hats off to you!
cantaloupe / 6206 posts
@chibee: Monitor!
@Smurfette: Yep, it seems it only happened during my workout this am.
@spaniellove: Nope, never.
@April_Showers: + OPK is good too though!! I bet you spike tomorrow!
GOLD / wonderful coconut / 33402 posts
@JoJoGirl: good sign!! I had two little brown spots on 10DPO the month I got my BFP! Fingers and toes crossed!!
