@Mssally: Congrats on your BFP!
@Jojogirl: Still so excited for you! I need to know more about this Jenny Renny, lol.
I'm starting to get sad that so many of you are moving past this board. It's been really fun taking this journey with you. You better stay in touch!

@Rachel, @JoJoGirl, @spaniellove: You guys are so funny! I love that you stalked my chart. I'm royally confused.
I asked my doc if I should spot and he said no, because he didn't use a dilator. A lot of women say they spotted after the EMB though. I started spotting day before yesterday, it was DEFINITE spotting. Yesterday, the spotting picked up to a brown "flow" that I'd say was still spotting. I also had cramping and my temperature took a nosedive. Last night the cramping was BAD... And I just knew AF was coming. I woke up at 11 PM from the cramping, went to the bathroom, had some more spotting. When I sat on the toilet, the floodgates opened (SORRY, TMI!!!). I had a medium level, bright red flow, literally, pouring out of me. It covered the toilet - it was a FLOW. When that happens, I usually just let it happen for a little while. I cleaned up, went back to bed, and now I haven't bled since. Still spotting though. I didn't temp this morning, because I put today as CD1 and I usually give myself a break and sleep in. This happened last cycle too... I think if the bleeding picks up again I will mark today as CD1, though last time I marked the first day of flow as CD1. What do you ladies think?

@ambular1025: I thought the same!!! I basically stick just to the charting thread on all of HB so i'm like 'shit, now what am i going to do?'. Booo. Did you see the Jenny Renny thread?
@ChuckNorris: Oy, if it was bright red flow, I have no idea - did you call to ask your doc?
@Jennimac: Thanks!!!

I posted this over in the 6 months+ thread but to make a long story short we saw the urologist and are going to go ahead with IUI or ICSI. Even though we were expecting it a little bit, we were still kind of floored.

@JoJoGirl: Yeah, it was bright red and dripping, so confused! ... Congratulations again =) I'm so happy for you!

@spaniellove: I'm so sorry to hear the news... I'm sending hugs your way! Hope you and hubby are doing okay...

@Spaniellove: What did they say IUI would cost you? I've heard it's not too bad compared to IVF, like $1000? How do you feel about those options? I'll have to check the other thread.
@Jojogirl: I'll have to check the Jenny Renny thread now.
honeydew / 7916 posts
@ambular1025: Today was with the urologist so now we have to choose an RE and figure out if there's enough motile sperm for IUI. If not then ICSI is the only option. I don't love any of the options involving meds since they'll definitely aggravate my seizures and migraines - I'm not supposed to have anything involving hormones because it could cause a stroke, which is why I went off BCP several years ago.
pomelo / 5041 posts
@Spaniellove: I'm so sorry that this is made even more difficult for you given your own medical problems. Let us know what your RE says! I have faith it will all work out in the end. If we don't get pregnant this cycle DH is getting a semen analysis at the urologist next month too. I could be in your boat shortly.

@AprilShowers: What a huge temp spike today! You're up a whole degree from your baseline. I can't help but think this is a really good sign.

@ambular1025: Im not sure its not a fluke. I hardly slept last night...but my normal day temps are in that range so maybe not. I am leaving it until I see what tomorrow does. I did have a lot of (TMI) really thick creamy CM yesterday...more than I think I have had all cycle (and I have never had this before). I am trying not to get my hopes up.
cantaloupe / 6730 posts
@spaniellove: Ugh. That makes it more difficult. But, like Ambular says, don't give up hope. If you are ovulating normally, maybe they can do it without the drugs. Perhaps they would just have to time it properly.

@Aprilshowers: I know how hard it is not to get your hopes up. I'll definitely be chart stalking you tomorrow to see what happens.

@jojogirl @ambular1025 and anyone with a monitor: Thanks to jojogirl's good luck Im on ebay looking at monitors. Did either of you get yours there? There are some listed for like $5.00 which makes me nervous but would be awesome!

@alison206: No advice, but Hiiiii!!! Nice to see your name on here
cantaloupe / 6206 posts
@alison206: I didn't but you never know, maybe post some links and we can help sniff them out?

@ambular1025: I'm with you on the sadness. Of course there's joy for those that achieved their BFP - but there's comfort in numbers...

@Alison206: I got mine on Amazon full price, but I'm pretty sure @MrsBird got hers on eBay. If you buy it for $5 and you get it and it doesn't work, it's not much of a loss, but if it does, then you're in good shape and got a sweet bargain! Maybe it's worth a try? I've never really used eBay.
@Sweetooth: At least for every woman who graduates from here we get a newbie in the group. And hopefully we can meet back up with them a month or two later in the pregnant boards when we get our BFP's.

@ambular1025: Yes, I need you all to get your BFPs soon cause I'll miss you too much off here!

@jojogirl: I bid on this one:
http://www.ebay.com/itm/150900099135?ssPageName=STRK:MEBIDX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1426.l2649
but there are some out there listed for like $1.50!

@rachel: Hi!!! I was doing so good but now @jojogirl's BFP makes me want to start trying again. I also found out someone at work is pregnant (which did make me cry once i got home) and that makes me think that we shouldn't give up!
pomelo / 5041 posts
@alison206: I think you should go for that monitor! It seems legit. As far as trying, I think there are certainly hard times and it's ok to take a break, but it's ok to start trying again too, even if the timing is bad. Just do what feels right and try to remember it's not a race or a competition. I have a hard time with that one, when it seems everyone around me is getting pregnant. Here for you if you ever need someone to talk/vent to.

Thank you so much ladies! I'm not going to fully believe it until I take a real pregnancy test. lol. i have to go out and buy some.
@jojogirl-- bfp twins!! yay!!
ladies, don't give up. we've been trying for about 2 years-- and i had two miscarriages last year-- one in march and one in dec. i know it can be tough-- i was in tears all summer because i always got bfn and this month, i was like a chicken without a head because i started work again... (teaching) it's another reminder of how nothing is under my control...
cantaloupe / 6206 posts
@spaniellove: Hoping to wait a bit and make sure it sticks before unloading it.
@alison it seems legit!

@mssally: Well I'm sure you're triple excited given your history! Your story reminds me to just be patient and it will all be ok. Thanks!

@ambular1025 i'm being cautiously optimistic... i went through a lot of acupuncture treatment and took a bunch of chinese herbs the acupuncturist prescribed... and i've been taking extra vitaminb12 so hopefully that will help it this time.
it's SOOOOO hard to be patient though... but my hubs and i def got closer throughout this whole time and we've been enjoying each other's company and just traveling at least once or twice a year somewhere -- i know it would have been harder to do that with children....
honeydew / 7916 posts
@mssally: This must be extra special given how long you've waited!
pomelo / 5041 posts
@mssally: I like to think of the positives too (despite the negatives). Even though I'd prefer to have a baby, not getting pregnant right now means more time to save up and figure out baby things, not to mention having a drink and getting to travel baby free.
Also, I've read great things about acupuncture. I may have to try that soon given your success.

@ambular1025-- there are always positives and negatives to everything! i think it's harder when it has to do with your body though... life is hard-- we have to be able to see lemonade instead of lemons... ha! otherwise, we'll just be miserable and more stressed out and probably do more damage to our health... acupuncture was very relaxing... it made my cramps go away and i think helped just bring more balance to my body... you should totally try it. i went to one in LA that specialized in fertility and women's health. she was also very gentle spirited and so soothing...
@rachel-- thank you!!
@spaniellove-- yes, most definitely! i took another cheapie test and the line was darker... i have to go to a store tonight or tomorrow and get a digital test... then i'll go on the september poas post to confirm my test. how are you doing?
cantaloupe / 6730 posts
@ambular1025: Eee - that's what I have to remember. It's not a race. It's so damn hard to remember that when all your friends have kids and those kids keep getting older. Especially when a lot of them just want to do family stuff which seems to exclude friends.
@JoJoGirl: You aren't going to keep the monitor for no. 2? Just in case?
@mssally: hey, thanks for sharing that it took that long. It seems that everyone gets their positives so fast. It's heartening to hear that it can be 9 months between BFP.
blogger / apricot / 349 posts
@grace i hope no one gets too down on themselves when it takes a little longer than what they hoped/wished.. after my 2nd miscarriage, i took a bunch of blood tests through my regular obgyn-- which all came back normal... but it helped to take all those tests just to make sure everything was ok physically.... (peace of mind)... i'm thankful for this community though-- because i can vent if/when i need to or read someone else's post and total resonate with it... and i totally know what you mean about friends with kids who are older-- who do family things together so people without kids can't really go on these "play dates." lol!
cantaloupe / 6206 posts
@Grace: Perhaps I will for No 2, want to get through No 1 first though! I don't want to feel like a monitor-hoarder. Ha.
