@Chillybear: Sorry to see you had a BFN but 10dpo is still early!
@marionberry: I know you're not really trying this cycle b/c of the antibiotics, but it's still exciting to see your +OPKs and waiting to see your temp rise!
@Ladybee: How are you doing with the Clomid? Is it giving you any side effects yet?
I'm doing the same thing I seem to do every cycle...I'm not sure if I'm going to O around CD11 or CD14. But I did ask DH to get some Preseed on his way home because even if it does turn out to be our last cycle trying on our own I can never seem to throw in the towel.
pomelo / 5041 posts
@spaniellove: ya we're not trying but we magically BD'd at the perfect time this cycle (it's been wonky because of being sick) so at least if the antibiotics don't kill his sperm at least we did our best to hit it at the right time. I get your comment of not throwing in the towel. That's exactly how I am and will continue to be. Does your DH like preseed? My DH hates it! I try to get him to use it and he whines. @blackbird (i think it was her) talked about her doc recommending canola oil and I researched it, so DH and I use that instead most of the time.

@grace: I probably missed something in the threads...how come you haven't o'd yet? Do you think it's just a late ovulation? Or do you think it's an anovulatory month? Seems so weird since the rest of yours have been pretty steady.
pomegranate / 3032 posts
@spaniellove: thanks... I'm not too disappointed. I really just wanted to try out the strips I bought on amazon. I know it's early. This month was kind of an experiment after being on BCP to make sure everything is working right, but we wouldn't mind if a positive showed up.
What's preseed? Why does your husband hate it?
pomelo / 5228 posts
@marionberry - We tried Conceive Plus and liked it. Its usually available on Amazon: http://www.amazon.com/Fertility-Lubricant-Pre-filled-Applicators--conceive/dp/B004GHALRK/ref=sr_1_2?ie=UTF8&qid=1354246107&sr=8-2&keywords=conceive+plus We only use PreSeed now because Amazon was sold out last time I needed to buy. But I like the pre-filled applicators, no mess. Can't imagine the mess that Canola oil makes...
pomelo / 5041 posts
@mrs.someone: we may have to look into that! Canola oil actually is not bad at all and works really well. DH just dunks his finger in the bottle and then applies versus pouring it.

@marionberry: Haha! I decided that I can't take this TTC-business anymore, plus we can't get an appointment at the fertility clinic until Feb (if we're lucky). So I've been mellow this month. Still temping, but not worrying about if I miss a day, not worrying about when we do the deed. Essentially, being ok if we miss the egg. What does this have to do with what happened to O? I don't think my ovaries are impressed with my new mellow philosophy. There's been two batches of good-lookin' CM, but no O. I'm in the middle of another patch, so I expect it to be any day now. Kind of excited actually, cause now, maybe I'll be synced up with you guys!
pomelo / 5041 posts
@Grace: oh that would be so cool! I hope you join us! And I love your comment about your ovaries not impressed with your mellow philosophy. Totally made me laugh. I could see my ovaries doing that.
honeydew / 7916 posts
@marionberry: So I tried Preseed last night and asked DH what he thought of it. He said he liked it, and I thought it was a lot more comfortable too. I never thought I would have needed lube until recently...this BD on a schedule thing gets kind of old! I only used 1 gm and might use slightly less next time but otherwise it was probably about the right amount. Is that how much you used?
@Grace: That's an awfully long wait for the fertility clinic! Taking it easy over the holidays doesn't sound like a bad idea; now your ovaries need to get with the plan.
pomelo / 5041 posts
@spaniellove: my DH finds it sticky. He prefers the slippery-ness of the oil. I don't mind preseed at all myself. We typically used about 1/2 the applicator, as that's what others had mentioned they had done.

So my temps took a nose dive in the past 2 days that means i should probably be expecting Aunt Flo to fly in right? if it dropped beow my coverline should i be prepared for her showing up today?
pomelo / 5000 posts
@Chillybear--I'm still new to this, but I would say so. When my temp dropped, I got my period one hour later.

Anyone ever had FF change their O date multiple times in one cycle? It's been a roller coaster, and if I weren't such a data lover, I might just stop it all!
I went from thinking I was having a much delayed ovulation date, then having a date with zilch change of getting pregnant, then having a good chance, then great chance, and back to most likely, not going to happen.
I really want to stay positive, but this has made it hard.
honeydew / 7916 posts
@Chillybear: I'm going to say generally yes your temp seems to have fallen, with the caveat that your coverline this cycle hasn't been so reliable. Also, it is possible for a dip to go below the coverline and go back up. Maybe next cycle your chart will show a clearer ovulation pattern?
pomelo / 5041 posts
@happygal: I agree with your CH or perhaps would move them to cd18. Without OPKs or a monitor, it's hard to judge much, especially with all of that EWCM.
pomelo / 5000 posts
@Marionberry: Thanks for checking it out!
If I switch to FAM, it changes to 17. I had a negative OPK on the 16th and 19th. I've wondered if the EPO I was taking caused that EWCM so far along....I thought I hadn't ovulated, so I kept taking it.
honeydew / 7916 posts
@Happygal: Do you have a link to your chart? Sorry if I missed it somewhere!

I should say that I've made peace with not being pregnant this month. I'm trying to learn about this whole process, and this month has been not as predictable as last month.
honeydew / 7916 posts
@Happygal: FAM seems to make more sense for your chart. I think advanced is having a hard time because 1) the EWCM isn't consistent with the temp rise, plus 2) you didn't use OPKs consistently. Next time I might suggest using OPKs every day until you get a positive or you're absolutely sure you've O'ed!
pomelo / 5000 posts
@SpanielLove--yes, that's a lesson learned from this month for sure! I bought a bunch of the cheap ones and plan to start testing much earlier. I admit it, I was not wanting to use my expensive digital ones all up. Last month was spot on, so I put too much trust into thinking it would be the same for November.
Thanks for peeking at my chart. I tried finding you on FF, but I'm not sure how to do that.

I'm not sure if I am a fan of temps after I confirm that I O'd. My temp dropped quite a bit this morning (10 dpo). I keep going between feeling optimistic that it's implantation and depressed that AF is on her way. Ugh, I'm too impatient for TTC! I'm waiting until Thurs to test, and it's going to be long 3 days.

Hi everyone! I've been lurking on this board for a while and you've all taught me so much about charting! I just started charting on my current cycle that began Nov. 2nd and I have a few newbie questions
I went off BC in September and had one cycle that was 28 days and one at 29. I was on BC for 6 years and from what I remember my cycles were pretty regular and similar back then, too.
Im currently on CD33 and my temps are staying fairly high. I POAS 12 and 15 days DPO and both were negative. I was bad about tracking CM (getting on that next cycle!) and FF didn't give me an O date so I'm only guessing my O based on the small temp dip and its near the CD that I O'd in Oct.. I was traveling a lot for work this month so not a lot of BDing either, but if I O'd when I think I did then we timed it well. Do you think it's normal to have two BFNs so late and then have a BFP? AF shows no signs of showing up today either (although you never know with her...). I'm getting antsy!
cherry / 245 posts
@fussygal: HI and welcome! Looking at your chart I actually think you O'd on CD 25 which would make you 8 DPO. That is when you have the biggest temp rise and then it stays nice and high. FF may not have given you cross-hairs because of the dip at 3DPO. It likes to have at least 3 high temps before assigning those red cross hairs. I would give it a few more days before testing again.
pomegranate / 3580 posts
@april_showers Thanks! That makes sense, maybe all the travel/work stress delayed it to CD25. Dang...guess that means more waiting
cherry / 245 posts
@fussygal: I know it sucks! It gets better. I am much less anxious about it now than I was in the begining.

Hi All! Not super active on the boards but thought I'd share a funny charting story. My husband and I just started temping last month. I woke up the other morning to him leaping out of bed. After the "what's wrong? What's going on?" questions were asked...i found out our dog had thrown up in our bed and my hubby almost rolled in it! Being the crazy TTC woman I am...I didn't move! Stayed in bed next to the dog vomit...and took my temperature! What we do for our future babies!
cantaloupe / 6730 posts
@fussygal: I agree with April Showers. You're not out yet!
@Mrs Bicycle: Lol!
honeydew / 7916 posts
@fussygal: Hi! I agree that it seems like you O'ed on CD25. Have you tried using the FAM detection method?
@futuremama: Do you have a link to your chart? I'm just curious if it's looking like a dip or a huge huge drop. The 2WW is so hard, I know! The upside of charting during this time though is that you at least have some warning when AF is going to show up and you don't have to spend every day wondering if you're suddenly going to start bleeding.
@Happygal: Yeah the cheap ones work just fine! Here's my chart; nothing terribly exciting to see:

@spaniellove: Here's the link to my chart. It shot back up today, so hopefully it doesn't mean too much. I'm hoping to wait until Friday to test. We'll see if I can do it.
apricot / 446 posts
Hi @fussygal! I'm sort of a lurker too, welcome and I agree with the others about your O date.
@futuremama: I'm no expert, but the fact that your temp shot back up so high seems like a really good sign to me...!
Here's my chart this month http://www.fertilityfriend.com/home/mangosprays
I'm can't decide whether I'm feeling optimistic or not this cycle, but trying hard to keep my emotions and stressing under control. Christmas decorating is a good distraction! I feel like our timing may not have been great and I had to skip temping on the MOST crucial day because I was at a bachelorette party, but I have a feeling that I ovulated on the left (I don't have a right fallopian tube) so eeeeeeee! (haha) hopefully!

So I went in just now and took the override off my O day and you were all right -- It auto-calculated for CD 25!

@chibee: So your chart appears to be participating in Opposite Day, huh? Such a big drop!
pomelo / 5041 posts
@shutterbug: what a strong ovulation!
@spaniellove: my chart is copying your last month's chart.
@ladybee: I think you may have ovulated today?!

Does anyone have an explanation for spotting around 9 dpo that wouldn't be implantation? It's different from the luteal phase spotting I've seen before. That was around 2 or 5 dpo and was just slightly pink or brown tinged CM, like light enough that I had to look at the TP from different angles. This was definitely more brown and more of it. I'm pretty sure it's not pre-AF spotting either.
pomelo / 5041 posts
@spaniellove: why are you sure it's not implantation spotting? I read once that 9dpo is actually the average implantation time. Aside from that, I did get brown CM one cycle on 6dpo-7dpo and didn't end up pregnant. I read it can be a lot of things - from intercourse, an infection, just old blood, implantation and more. Don't google though because it also brought up a lot of scary sounding things too lol.

AFM, my chart looks great today but a BFN. I hate that that's always me...great looking chart, but no baby. Secretly hoping I get a late BFP. At least I go to the RE on Thursday if it ends badly lol.
grapefruit / 4079 posts
@spaniellove: when I got pregnant the first time I had spotting and cramps on 8dpo so why couldn't it be implantation? Like @marrionberry said, there could be a lot of reasons. I'm assuming that everything that happens to me is just because my body likes to screw with my mind
@marrionberry: I can't wait for your RE appointment!!
