@ladybee: I love that...our bodies really do love to screw with our minds huh!

  2. spaniellove

    honeydew / 7916 posts

@ladybee: @marionberry: I assume it couldn't be implantation because I've had LP spotting before and it wasn't implantation! Plus...despite all the signs and great charts it just never happened.

@marionberry: I hope your RE is open to looking beyond the standard battery of cd3/progesterone/HSG/ultrasound. You always have such great charts! So don't be afraid to ask for more if you find you're not getting enough answers.

  3. marionberry

    pomelo / 5041 posts

@spaniellove: that makes sense, but never give up. Just because it hasn't been implantation before doesn't mean it couldn't be now...esp since you said it looks different. And I do plan on really getting everything I can out of my RE. I want every test and procedure until they absolutely know what's wrong with me and start doing something about it. I'm past the time of compliance. I'm glad you felt comfortable enough to tell your RE IVF only. Are you excited that you could be pregnant soon?

  4. Grace

    cantaloupe / 6730 posts

@marionberry: Ha! That's my charts too. Beautiful, but negative. Every time. Big rotten tease.

@spaniellove: I'm going to secretly hope it's implantation cramps, but I'm going to say that it's probably rough sex. If you are anything like me it'a easier to have low expectations than deal with disapointment.

@marrionberry, @grace, @spaniellove: we are all in the same boat and grace said it best, at this point it is easier to have low expectations that deal with disappointment. Oh the joys of TTC for forever!

AFM, my temp went down a little today but sill high in comparision. If I get a higher temp tomorrow FF will give me crosshairs.

  7. marionberry

    pomelo / 5041 posts

@ladybee: I agree. Hoping tomorrow's temp goes up for us both.

  8. marionberry

    pomelo / 5041 posts

@spaniellove: once again you have an amazing looking chart!

  9. spaniellove

    honeydew / 7916 posts

@marionberry: I know I discarded my temps for the last few days because they were like 99 and 100...I definitely had a fever after getting a flu shot. The closer we get to our RE appointment, the less I'm able to process it. Meanwhile I think DH is reading some strange stuff...yesterday he was reading some blog and turned to me and asked if I was considering a homebirth. omigod.

    pomelo / 5041 posts

@spaniellove: getting sick really does screw things up. I hated that it really messed with my chart this month. Regardless, your chart still looks great. I am SUPER excited for my RE appointment, I guess because I really have no idea what's wrong with us and I should be able to find answers there, but I'm also kind of scared given that when I emailed them, she said it could be a variety of things included quality of my eggs (which brings up the scare of what if my eggs are bad or don't work) but I'm trying not to think of that. I can see where it would be different for you, knowing that you're headed straight to IVF. My stepmom had IVF and it worked the first shot. I wish the same for you!

OMG on DH's and their weird process through all of this...it's funny that your DH was reading about home births. Funny especially because an IVF patient is never going to be allowed to home birth! They try so hard to be a part of this process since they don't go through it as much physically. My DH asks me every day if my temp is good or bad and I'm always like, I don't know! He's like a broken record, thinking maybe I'm smarter today than I was yesterday and have a different answer. I feel bad when I get annoyed with him about it.

  11. spaniellove

    honeydew / 7916 posts

@marionberry: I don't know if IVF prevents homebirth or using a birth center, but I know that with my seizures and the complications we expect with the antiseizure meds I'll have to be in a hospital with a lot of monitoring. They just induce or do a planned c-section, so the whole thing is as unnatural as possible! I had to give up thinking this would be my dream parenting experience and learn to just be happy if it happens.

It can certainly be scary to think that something like egg quality could be the issue. If it is, you will find a solution. And if it isn't, you will figure out what it is and get past it! There are also immunology issues that wouldn't show up on a chart.

    @marionberry: I'm sorry AF showed

  13. marionberry

    pomelo / 5041 posts

@ladybee: AF isn't here yet but my temp definitely dropped. Assuming she will be here tomorrow.

  14. spaniellove

    honeydew / 7916 posts

@marionberry: I'm sorry to see that drop. Re: egg quality, see my post on the infertility thread. Speak of the devil. I can't believe it.

@spaniellove: Thanks! I'm so sorry to hear that news for you. Big hugs are virtually headed your way.

Well my temp dropped, FF took my CH away, and my due date would have been 15 days away. Friends on FB who were due at the same time are posting pictures of their babies. I feel like giving up. I wish I could get in with a RE sooner, even though I know Jan 3 is really quick and will be here before I know it. DH keeps saying this wasn't meant to be easy for us but I'm starting to feel a little bitter. I wish 2013 would hurry up!

  17. Grace

    cantaloupe / 6730 posts

@ladybee: One day fluke, I'm sure. I bet they'll be up again tommorow! Jan 3 is an great date. Think of it as starting fresh in a brand new year. 2013's gonna be awesome!

  18. spaniellove

    honeydew / 7916 posts

@ladybee: That must feel like such a letdown at what is already a difficult time. Is there any way you can hide those friends who you know will have baby pictures? I'm not even in your shoes and right now I find the newborn/labor threads painful at times.

The waiting for the RE is tough, even more so when you realize that every appointment and test is going to be like that...you'll get to one appointment, then realize you won't get in again for a test for weeks, then they won't schedule another consult for another month. It gets to be so much waiting and finding a way to pass the time really helps!

    @marionberry: When is your appointment?

  19. marionberry

    pomelo / 5041 posts

@spaniellove: headed there right now! 7:30am PST.
@ladybee: try to hang in there. January will be here in no time. Christmas should help the days pass.

  20. spaniellove

@marionberry: Wishing you lots of luck! Hope you have a productive appointment!

Girls, I had a little freakout this morning. My temp went up at 14dpo, which it doesn't normally do. I try not to test early 'cause I hate seeing the negatives. Well, I found a bunch of tests and decided that this time, not knowing was worse. So I tested - with second morning urine no less. And look what I saw!

  22. spaniellove

@Grace: This is so exciting - and that is a GREAT line!

    @spaniellove: Thanks!!

@futuremama: Thanks! That's exactly what I thought too, and that's how I was going to tell DH, but I took one step out of the bathroom and burst into tears (happy ones), so that plan flew out the window.

@Grace: Haha, no on purpose, that's how it looks for me too. Once a word gets longer than the length of the "post" box, I guess that's what happens. Try!

Do you guys think I O'd? If so when? If I discard Wednesday's temp, then it takes away my CH. I'm sick of DTD but I don't want to miss my chance.

    My Ovulation Chart

  36. spaniellove

    honeydew / 7916 posts

@ladybee: I'm going to take a guess and say it's possible but not very clear...if you look at anovulatory+PCOS charts on FF you'll see that every once in a while there are charts with some kind of rise that isn't clear enough to be O. I have no idea why. So maybe you could space out DTD to every 3rd day until you're absolutely sure you've O'ed?

  37. ladybee

    grapefruit / 4079 posts

@spaniellove: Blah this is so hard. I so badly want to believe I O'd but something in my chart is just not sitting with me well. I think if anything maybe I JUST O'd like a day or two ago. My skin just broke out and that is a pretty clear sign.

Hey ladies! I hope to join you! We are going to start ttc in July, and I already chart my periods, but want to start charting bbt as well, as it appears I'm not ovulating. I keep getting negative opks and have no cm ever. Hopefully, by adding bbt we can have six solid months to see if I ovulate or not!

  39. ladybee

    grapefruit / 4079 posts

@dcyogabee: Welcome! It's nice to have you! Are you coming off bc?

  40. spaniellove

    honeydew / 7916 posts

@ladybee: It *is* possible, but don't stop DTD until you are for sure for sure! Since your CH have come and gone a few times, I'd maybe wait till they stay a while...just because wouldn't you be so mad if you stopped and then O'ed later? still, you could do it every 3 days and be fine. This IS so hard. Looking at your previous charts, I was wondering if you've been marking all of your OPKs? I was thinking that the monitor didn't work for you b/c of the PCOS, but in a lot of your cycles you had a +OPK correspond with ovulation. So having the two together on your chart might give you some reassurance.

@dc yoga bee: Hey there! I'm sorry to hear you think you're not ovulating. Charting your bbt sounds like a good idea, since no CM and negative opks could mean you're not ovulating...or it could mean you just don't have fertile CM and you're one of those people who can't use OPKs! How long have you been off BC?

As long as I get AF tomorrow I think it'll be my last day of temping. Starting next cycle I'll be monitored and I think it might drive me crazy to temp during the 2WW after an IUI and IVF. But I'd love to stick around and support the charters!
