I would just pick up a cheapie at the store and try. Even though he'll start a straw or sippy cup soon, he'll probably still be taking bottles for most feedings. It's typically recommended to introduce the sippy with water when starting solids, but not transitioning to sippy with milk at meals until they're getting significant amounts of nutrition from solid food (like, after a year).

MAM is actually really affordable. And it is a great bottle. You can find them at Walmart for sure.

I see Avent at TJ Maxx once in a while too.

I like Avent, they're not the cheapest, but the ones with the honey tint have never leaked on us.
