Have you had a blood test recently? Lots of ice chewing can be related to a deficiency (iron? Something like that?)
But, I love crunching the ice in my drinks when it's gone softish and kind of melty.

Yeah, it can be an iron thing. When I had low iron I LOVED to chew ice!! Now I can't stand it, maybe check.

I couldn't stop with DD. I would go to Sonic and just get a huge cup with ice and chew it all day.

Yes it is a big red flag for anemia. I did too at the end of my pregnancy. I also was obsessed with the smell of Clorox wipes, lol which is another symptom.

Every pregnancy! With my last I was going through a tray of ice a day. It always means I'm anemic.

@Mrs. Oatmeal: yep just had one last week! Not anemic!
I guess I should clarify, I don't do it just to do it, but will if I have leftover ice in my water!

I chewed ice every chance I could while pregnant!! It really hurt my teeth and now they're sensitive to everything (no cavities or other problems though). I wasn't anemic!
