So we're finally making our first trip away from home this weekend and I think we're going to book a room at a hotel. I figure it will just be easier to be able to access a bathroom and a mini fridge, and I don't like the idea of inconveniencing a family with FOUR houseguests rather than three, especially one of them being a baby who will probably cry loudly at night and wake them up.

When you travel, do you book a hotel room? And if so, do you book one with two queen beds or one king bed? I can see the pros and cons of both. Since we have a toddler (who still sleeps in a crib at home) and an infant, I'm thinking a king bed with the 3 year old sleeping between us and the 6 month old in a crib next to the bed. OR we could each take a kid on the two queen sized beds, but they both roll a lot so that would mean creating barrier(s) to make sure they both don't roll off the bed. Also not sure if we should use a crib provided by the hotel or bring our pack n play, or our rock n play. (will probably bring the rock n play as a backup since it's so compact and we're driving.)

Any thoughts?? What's your sleep configuration when you travel? And if you have any family-friendly hotel suggestions around Flushing, NY let me know!!
