@petunia354: I'd be more inclined to keep the business card longer if there were a personal message or real signatures in the greeting card. I'm just old fashioned and appreciate things like that a lot. It's great that you all do that!

I always write a small message with the Christmas greeting cards. This year will be our first picture one so I plan on writing something on the back. I send out about 40 so it's not that labor intensive to me.

Always. We sent out our first photo cards 2 or 3 years ago, but I still write their names, some sort of greeting (varies depending on the person and their closeness) and sign our names.

It depends on the card, for example, last year we had a flat card with a patterned back, so there was no place to write.

@TemperanceBrennan: I'm with you on this one! I sometimes feel like I am keeping the NZ postal service in business. There's just something special about getting letters and handwritten cards... Haha maybe I'm just old-fashioned!

@TemperanceBrennan: Handwritten letters and messages are the best! I wish I knew how to write in calligraphy.

We send photo cards and don't write anything, BUT I've never gotten a photo card that had anything handwritten on it. I didn't know that people write handwritten comments on photo cards. Now I feel like I'm doing something wrong, but maybe it's just not common around here?
@TemperanceBrennan: I'm a calligraphy fan, too! Although in all honesty, I haven't done much since addressing our wedding invitations. That about killed me!
