Christmas crafting gifts what are you working on?

Hello Hive! I'm sitting here with the realization that *gasp!* we're already on the last day of november which means i really need to pick up my heels and get finished some projects i'm planning on gifting. On my to do list is: Finish painting a watercolour painting for my MIL, finish Quilting my Son's 1st birthday ISPY quilt, finish his stocking & finish his birthday bunting banner (photos below) what are you guys working on? I'd love to see some photos, maybe inspire me to get my bobbins threaded and my machine humming. :heart:

Cute!!! What's the bunting made of? Fabric?

@anonysquire: yes. The bunting banner background will be little white triangles and the fabric letters will be sewn on top of them. Instead of doing a cake smash we booked a finger painting session with our photographer. So i wanted a really colourful 'happy birthday' bunting to go along with it to be hung in the background of his session.

@MrsHoneyC: That stocking is adorable! I just learned how to arm knit. I'm going to make several scarves for my female relatives. I love a warm fluffy scarf!

I was hoping to send my grandmother some dishcloths I've knitted, but my learning to knit has taken a step or two backwards, and I only have one complete right now.

@Mrs. D: I'm rubbish at all things knitting related so the fact that you've even made one is impressive! You still have time, and if its not in the cards to get it completed by christmas i bet your grandmother would be pleased to receive them in the new year. Thats very thoughtful.

Not a gift, but I just finished this sweater. I'm planning on putting a big red bow on it and using it as a ridiculous Christmas sweater.

My only projects are making our christmas stockings (make strip quilted ones for the three of us) and I'm going to my LO an easy flannel quilt for her room. Not far enough along to show progress pics but I can share the fabrics!

@blackbird: i have no idea where it came from, it was in a folder on my ipad photos called christmas kids. (that i made like 3 years ago) I'm thinking its rather simple, get a cone shape, weight it down possibly to avoid tipping, then hot glue gun felt over it, attatch buttons all over the tree so kids can hang their decorations and then make / buy soft felt toys. I was thinking i would actually make this into an advent calendar. Make numbers below the buttons so when the ornament is hung they're hidden and then on christmas eve the child would put the star topper on the tree.

@MrsHoneyC: aw i like it a lot. i definitely want to do an advent calendar next year, I loved the book idea i saw on IG. This tree is adorable, but definitely more work than I want to sign up for with 3 weeks until Christmas But maybe next year....I may have to remember this and get started while I'm on leave

@LemonLong: Dang, woman! I like to knit, but I haven't gotten that brave yet. The most I'll let myself do are unfinished baby sweaters.

@MrsHoneyC: Oh, I'm definitely filing that Christmas tree away. I may try to make it this year if I have time... E would love it!

I'm working on a knitted capelet with hood for my niece. It is bright pink with sparkly yarn criss-crossed over it (mosaic knitting) because she likes sparkly/pink things. She's three, so I'm hoping she'll love it for the number of times I've had to rip several rows out, ha!

Just finished my last craft last night! Etched names on the bottom of glass bakeware for Holiday gifts! They came out pretty good- I am excited to give them out!

My LO says her stuffed animal needs a sleep sack...maybe I can make one with some remnants.

I am making LO Elsa and Anna capes using this tutorial:

I have finished the Elsa one, and it turned out great. I'm gonna work on the Anna one tonight.

I'm making essential oil room sprays. Here's one that I made last night. Making two kinds - one a refresher with fruity scents, and the other a calming linen spray with lavender, vanilla, etc.
