i usually get something for that person. i think i have too much of a sense of equality and feel too bad if i don't get them anything.

If I knew someone had bought something for me, I would buy something for them. Family of 4? Maybe a bottle of wine for the parents?

I'd gift something back. If I didn't know until they actually gave me the gift, I would lie and say I forgot their gift.

What about a fruit basket, or edible bouquet.

I hate it when that happens because I feel bad for not having thought of them. I would definitely get them something. I love the idea of the board game.

For that reason I always try to have a stock pile of wrapped gifts (I put a sticky note to remember what it is). That didn't work well this year..
