When my whole family gets together for Christmas, there's a big crew! There are 10 adults, and instead of gifts we do a "white elephant" style exchange. We have done gift cards many times. Last year we did a "my favorite things" gift exchange. We're looking for another idea to try out this year - any suggestions?

Lol we do the White Elephant thing too, but we call it a Yankee Swap.

My friend's family does something like this. I think last year, they did gifts were you had to guess what the gadget was.

Last year we did a secret Santa with DH's family, and may do the same thing with mine, too. Elfster is a great website to use for that

@Mrs.Ham: This probably isn't what you're going for, but I think it's hilarious. One of my coworker's did an "infomercial" white elephant gift exchange. She said everyone had so much fun finding the craziest informercial products for it.

My extended family does a handmade gift exchange. Everyone draws names, then you have to make a gift for that person ~$10

We usually do a White Elephant. This year, I'd love to incorporate holiday trivia, highest score will determine the order in which people can pick gifts.
I've thought about adopting a family in need this Christmas too, and then having a gift wrapping party with family before donating.

I've done one that you had to buy a gift based on a letter (we did U last time...that was difficult but fun!)
I've done infocommerical too...that's a fun one!

@Mrs.Ham: We are working our way through the alhpabet. So the first year all the gifts in the exchange had to start with the letter A, and so on.
