My announcements were not exciting.... lol!
With my mom on Facetime...
Mom-Are you sleeping at all? Why do you look so tired?
Me- I'm pregnant!
Mom- What? Congrats, I'm so happy! Was it planned?
I just told my inlaws at Christmas dinner and they were pretty excited but made a few comments about how it HAS TO BE A BOY.

@autumnlove: ha! The only person who asked me if it was planned was an accquantince who is a single guy and it cracked me up for some reason.
Why does it have to be a boy? do y'all already have a girl?

@autumnlove: People are so funny. I love the idea of having just girls, I think that means I'll have only boys.

My announcement wasn't planned because I didn't get a positive test until Christmas morning! We were in my hometown and staying at my parents. I woke up and went straight to the bathroom and got my positive! I was in shock and needed a little time to process so I didn't tell anyone. After a while I was able to pull my husband aside and told him I had a present for him even though we decided not to exchange gifts bc we are buying a house. He got frustrated and told me I needed to take the gift back. I said I don't think that's really possible and handed him the bag with the test in it. It was pretty great!!

@jenm: yay that's so awesome!!! I got my positive on the Fourth of July. It's kind of fun that we get to relive that memory every year. Same for y'all and Christmas. Have you calculated your due date?

I'm a bit father along than most people announcing now, but we've been dragging our feet. All family and close friends knew, but we took this picture and put on social media to share "publicly". Caption "full of joy..and a baby boy!" It was fun to see people's reactions that I see everyday at work but hadn't told yet.

@autumnlove: haha I love how family thinks they can have an opinion on gender ours was the same way since we have a girl already.
@jenm: congratulations! How fun

We announced on our Christmas card. You'll see it on the thread. The response has been wonderful. My parents' next door neighbor is thrilled for us when we saw her while LO was playing with her kids.
