How often do you clean your home? We have a dog, which makes me feel like I need to clean it often. I cant stand hair everywhere! We have hardwood floors, and I have tried all types of cleaning agents but nothing helps! My husband thinks that I am OCD- which may indeed be the case.

I'm always cleaning. But we have a big house, a 1 year old, 2 great danes, 2 cats and my husband is like a 5 year old with putting clothes on the floor/garbage on he counter. I never feel like my whole house is clean all at once...

Im always tidying up. We do a thorough cleaning once a week.

We have a cleaning lady do a deep clean every other week. But we also have 2 cats and a dog and our house is hair central. I vacuum twice a weekish and wish I had time to do it more often!

I tidy all day long! But the only room I really clean is kitchen. I leave the scrubbing of the other rooms to our cleaning lady who is a gift from the gods!!!

I've got one of those cordless wall mounted Dysons and I vacuum downstairs every day. When you don't have to get the vacuum cleaner out of the cupboard and plug it in its just so easy. I walk past it hanging there and think "ooh" and nip it round quickly! I clean the wood floors with floor wipes (I swish them about on the bottom of my shoe!) because its so much easier than getting the mop out - I can do that daily too and its a 30 second job!
I try to do a proper clean of the house once a week but I don't always succeed. My bathroom is desperate for a good scrub right now!!

Ugh, not often enough. I think it's been two weeks now and its just disgusting. In fact, I should put down the laptop and go vacuum.. NOW.

Well I altrrnate vacuuming and sweeping every day. It sucks but I'm a SAHM and it dosent take that long. I actually think my 2 cats lose way more hair than my 2 - 140 lbs dogs!

I don't have any pets but I do have one messy toddler. I try to keep the main area (living room) pretty picked up and my office picked up since Em's crib is in there. H's room is usually tidied up by DH, as is the kitchen. The dining room and our room hold the most mess and clutter - one because the door is always shut and the other because of the large table. The only room that doesn't seem to need constant maintenance/attention is the bathroom!

@cherrybee, I like the dyson idea. We may have to go get one SOON! I'm tired of getting the vacuum cleaner out of the upstairs closet and dragging it all the way downstairs each time I feel like cleaning.
@icebergmom and @ mamabolt- how much do you pay on average for a cleaning lady? DH and I have been doing some serious thinking into hiring a cleaning company in the near future..Thanks everyone- as I sit here exhausted at 10:00pm- finally finished cleaning for the week.
