For our cloth diapers (Bum Genius) they would leak if the fit was off - there needs to be pressure on the liner for it to soak through to the pad and not leak/puddle. We actually had to increase the rise for our 2 month old so that they were snug.

What setting is it on, and how much does she weigh? When we've had leaks, sizing down fixed it. LO didn't unsnap to the middle rise until almost 18 lbs.

@swurlygurl: Are you getting it tight enough around her waist?

Are you shoving the insert all the way in/up the front of the diaper? Because I was at first but then found out there is supposed to be some empty space there so that that part can lie completely flat against the tummy. Maybe 1.5-2"?

We use three layers - both bumgenius inserts and a hemp. Big bg insert on bottom with the folded part in the front, then hemp layed flat over it, then fold the bg newborn insert over the top of the two. So where the regular bg insert already has the fold, the newborn insert mimics that. So you end up with a lot of layers in the front of the diaper to catch. This solved my kids leaking....hope that helps, and makes sense!

@swurlygurl: we use different diapers at night than during the day, for this same reason....i think its pretty common! Good luck! Middle of the night leaks are such a pain.
