DH and I have been discussing this one ever since I bought a giant coffee-cake from costco. Is it a breakfast food or a dessert?

I'd be more likely to eat it for breakfast with a cup of coffee (or as a mid-afternoon snack!) than as a dessert but I rarely eat a proper "dessert". I voted either!

We eat it as both! We usually make it for breakfast on the weekends and then eat it as dessert until it's gone (which isn't long lol)

I voted either, because it's versatile like that, but I like it for breakfast. But I know whenever I went to a friend's house, they always served it with the coffee for the adults (they were from Bosnia).

If I was being honest with myself, I'd say it's a dessert, but since it's culturally acceptable as a breakfast, I often eat it for breakfast without feeling guilty
