Just wondering if anyone has any experience with the combi cocorro carseat. We have a small car and this seems to have really good reviews for compact cars. Also when did your child grow out of it? It has low height and weight limits but at 6 months my daughter is pretty small(15th percentile) so that might not be a huge issue...

@Purpledaisy: I do have one & we really love it! Right now P is 17mth & still fits with lots of room to grow. She's been around 10% for weight & height, but I'll know her exact stats on the 20th.
It is considered a short lived seat & we'll very likely have to get another to continue rf until 4 but I'm happy super with our purchase of it.

@runsyellowlites: omg she is so cute!! Just curious, how long do you think she will fit rear facing? I know we want to until at least 2 if not longer.

@Purpledaisy: I think we'll make it pretty close if not all the way to 3. In this pic she still had the infant insert which adds atleast 1, probably 2.5ish inches to her "height".

I have it and dd just outgrew it at 2.5 rfing. She's now rfing in a radian. I would have gone straight to the radian but I was taking her to Korea by myself for a month and needed something light. We also knew it would eventually be passed down to a younger sibling. It's a great seat for those who need 3 in a row or to move infants into convertibles.

My friend has 4yo twins and raved about this seat. She doesn't own a car (lives in a major city) and has only used her seats about 10x in the past few years. Her girls are outgrowing them now so she is going to give us one of them. (I would not ordinarily take a hand-me-down car seat but I am comfortable with the history she provided.)
Ironically, husband and I were eying this seat anyway -- we have a smallish 4-door sedan and want a relatively trim seat -- and then the following week she emailed and offered one to us.
I haven't used it yet, so I can't really comment on its performance. We just bought the Combi Shuttle infant carrier/car seat too.

@runsyellowlites: @mrsmate: @ElbieKay: thanks for the feed back! I would love to just buy one seat that would last until she no longer needs one but rear facing carseats take up sooo much room! I've been eyeballing the radian but I just don't think it will fit. Oh well, I guess there are worse things than having to buy multiple carseats

@Purpledaisy: the radian is actually not too bad on rear-facing space if you use it with the angle adjuster. Your child has to have complete head and neck control though.

@Purpledaisy: I would peruse car-seat.org to see what the consensus is for the radian & your car... or even giving a local tech a call. I really *wanted* the Combi & we plan on using it for the next baby from birth so I was okay with at some point having to buy a new seat.

DH has the Combi in his car and we really like it! I'm no help on the height/weight limits because L is only 4 months. I figure by the time he outgrows it we'll need the seat for our next LO anyways, and then we can bump him to something with higher height/weight limits. But it works well in our small vehicles and is super cute!

Have it for our smaller cars even with our long baby. She's the first and hopefully not the last so I'm okay buying another seat later.
