    @MrsBrewer: Thanks for the recipe! Martha is a god in my book.... Hard to believe your pups have the same parents I love the coloring on the spotted one

    @loopedd: We want to go back soo bad. We stayed in Adare and only did 1 day in Dublin. my favorite area was the Dingle pennisula - so beautiful. My husband is a huge irish history buff. The people were so friendly and gracious and the food OMG you wouldnt think it would be like omg amazing but it was and so fresh we had the best beef stew in a little pub on the side of the road

    @cyndistar3: Your girls are stunningly beautiful. You have a huge heart!

    @Chillybear: Great thread! Your LO is adorable!!

    I'll play... I'm a pretty regular poster on the boards and have been around since Hellobee was in beta, but still don't feel too connected, and I'm also a blogger.

    @whenoceansrise: One of my favorite songs!
    @youboots: What a cool van!
    @cyndistar3: Christ found me too at the age of 17 - junior year in high school. Your kids are beautiful!
    @HappyBluebird: I'm an introvert too. I also prefer a small get together at home vs a party out on the town. I actually want to get out of the house more now after having kids - staying cooped in can really get to a person - but I still prefer small, intimate group gatherings.

    @LAZB: I'm so so sorry for your loss.

    I wish I could respond to every single person that shared, but it's hard doing the reply button back to page one, but I read through everyone's detailed posts and feel like I know you guys just a little bit better now!

    I just turned 31, and live in Southern California with my husband of 5 years, my-in laws, 2 dogs (both maltipoos), and 2 kids (noelle age 3.5, and jaren age 18 months). It's a full house around here... not quite what I envisioned things to be when I married my husband, but its worked out pretty well for us.
    My husband and I met our freshmen year in college, and were friends for 5 years before we started dating. We'll be celebrating our 5 year anniversary this November!
    I also don't like uppercase letters - I'd write in all lowercase if I could!
    I love to read, run, and do yoga.
    I don't enjoy crafting or DIY at all, but I wish I did!
    Google is one of my BFF's - I love to research the heck out of things!

    @Mrs. Chocolate: I'm sure there are blog posts on this already, but what about what to do with your photos afterwards? Computer storage, making them into a scrapbook or digital album.....something like that?

    @ninjaduck: You definitely can make real life friends from this! I made 3 AMAZING friends from WB from this area. I love them so much.

    @Mrs. High Heels: LOL! Google caused me a lot of grief in the newborn stage. My mom would implore me to put my phone down and just trust that everything the baby did was completely normal.

    @ninjaduck: I actually ended up with my dog after looking into getting a cocker spaniel puppy and mistakenly thinking she might shed less. No luck. LO always has dog hair between his fingers, on his clothes, sometimes on his lips.

    Ok, it's so hard to write responses on my phone so I'll do that when I get back to my desk (currently pumping)

    - I'm 31 (almost 32) and live just north of Houston, TX.
    - I'm a momma to 2 girls (5 months and 2.5 years) and a great dane
    - I married my soul mate about 3.5 years ago (he's 15" taller than me!)
    - We both work in IT - I'm a programmer
    - I love working out early in the mornings
    - I have a weekness for anything w/ peanut butter
    - I love to bake, but sadly don't have much time for it
    - I'm a scorpio, so I find people either like me or they don't - no middle ground.
    (I'm currently running on 8 hrs of sleep in 3 days, so that's all I can think of right now)

    And here's a pic of my girls

    @dreamocracy: thats hilarious

    My goodness i can barely keep up with all the replies

    @Mrs. High Heels: What are your favorite books? or what are you currently reading? I devour books esp while pumping and always looking fro new recommendations. I just finished Gone Baby Gone by Dennis Lehane ( i'm working my way through the whole series)

    @ValentineMommy: I wish i was better at photo storage i feel like most of my pics are buried in my iphone and iphoto is hopelessly unorganized

    @spaniellove: I grew up in Voorhees and i'm still in the area most weekends

  12. Mrs. High Heels

    blogger / eggplant / 11551 posts

    @Chillybear: I'm currently reading a book called West of the Border, East of the Sun by Haruki Murakami. The library just alerted me that the book Wonder by R.J. Palacio is available for download so I'll be reading that next! Have also been really wanting to read Eleanor and Park.

    My favorite author is Khaled Hosseini (I love his writing style and stories)... so Kite Runner and all his other books are my absolute favorites. Recently read And the Mountains Echoed and it was so good.

    I also really liked Harry Potter, The Hunger Games, Ender's Game, The Fault in Our Stars... there are so many great books out there - but my favorite genre is definitely fiction! I am regularly on Goodreads too. Love seeing what my friends are reading, following authors, and scouring new books!

    I'll have to look up Gone Baby Gone!

    @Chillybear: Thanks again! Yes Im an only child (if you might already have known) so I always wanted a big family to make up for what I lacked growing up. My DH and I compromised on 3 as I would probably be ok with 4 even especially if I was a tad bit younger I secretly hope for twins next time but I think my DH might keel over then

    @ValentineMommy: Oh haha thats not me then. I know you are suppose to print photos (every photographer will tell you that) but I am the worst. Im so use to the online world now with sharing and email most of my photos never make it off my computer lol

    @spaniellove: Where did you transplant from? Where in South Jersey?

    @MrsBrewer: I love that recipe! I hate when someone asks for my 'secret recipe' and I have to tell them it's from Martha or the Food Network.

    @Chillybear: Great thread. My daughter is about to be one too! It's an exciting and emotional time.

    I'll join in on sharing some info....

    -I'm 30 years old.
    -I work part-time as a lawyer. I have one afternoon and all day Friday off every week. Love my Fridays!
    -I have one daughter, who's about to be one in 3 weeks.
    -We're having a "You are My Sunshine" birthday party for her which I thought was a really unique idea until I searched Pinterest for ideas and realized it isn't unique at all.
    -My husband and I met on a blind date! We got set up by a mutual friend.
    -Our daughter was two weeks old on our first anniversary.
    -I will never be one of those people who complains about the pumpkin stuff and the candy corn being out in August. I love fall and already made pumpkin muffins this week! I think it's because winter is sort of brutal here in the Midwest so I like to enjoy fall before the snow starts.

    this thread moves too fast for me to keep up

    Also a long time HB'er (though most people probably don't remember me).

    * I'm StrawberryBee
    * I'll be turning 35 in November (gulp)
    * I live outside Philadelphia
    * I met my husband when I was 29, and we've been married for 3 years now. He has two great children from a prior marriage that we have every other weekend, and we have a one year old daughter together
    * we have two cats and three dogs, all of which my husband is highly allergic to (cats are domestic shorthairs, dogs are a tricolor Sheltie, a Japanese Spitz, and a Yorkie-Bichon)
    * I used to do dog agility with the Sheltie, but she hurt her back and I don't have the time/money to train the Yochon

    Can't respond to everyone, but here's a try (I'm sorry if I missed you!):

    @ValentineMommy: I'm sorry for your loss. Your son is adorbs! I'm jealous of those with musical talent, as I have none
    @ninjaduck: what a cute story about how you met your DH! waiting to find out what I was having made me so jittery. So exciting
    @loopedd: congrats on your pregnancy!
    @sorrycharlie: on the Sheltie barking....oh do I feel you!
    @dreamocracy: I adore your daughter's name.
    @youboots: congrats on your pregnancy. Love old houses, and that van!
    @LAZB: I'm so sorry for your loss. I wish you all the best with this pregnancy
    @HappyBluebird: congrats, and I'm so an introvert as well
    @yin: I remember you and your boys from the one HB meetup I attended
    @Leah: You have a lot on your plate!
    @MrsBrewer: I'm such a sucker for merle dogs. Stella is gorgeous (love to Bear, too!)
    @cyndistar3: your girls are beautiful!
    @Bubbles: Welcome!
    @Jruess: I'm jealous of your chickens but I don't want the work of keeping them lol
    @My Only Sunshine: I love your party idea!

    @Chillybear: I love, love, love Dennis Lehane! GBG is a fabulous book.

    Hi everyone! I'm basically a lurker. I participated on my month boards when I was pregnant, but I haven't been too vocal since she was born. I'd love to make new friends!

    I'm 30, my lovely daughter was born on May 11 this year via c-section after a very challenging pregnancy. She was born with a somewhat rare medical disorder that I haven't told most people about, and could actually really use some support.

    My husband and I live in Seattle and are somewhat new here. We have a corgi who is a total fur ball.

    I am passionate about books, movies and music. I am terrible at camping, running and crafting. I am deathly afraid of spiders. I'm having a really tough time losing weight pp.

    I'm a paralegal and I am going back to work part-time next week since maternity leave is now up. I'm definitely not sure how I feel about it.

    LO is a honeymoon surprise baby - she turned three months old on our anniversary last week.

    @gingerblonde: OMG she is a cutie. And if you ever want to talk, I'm here. You can wall me anytime you need to...my LO has a severe to profound hearing loss (in laymen's terms he's deaf) and we're trying to figure out if he has a related syndrome. This is all after a tough pregnancy and IF, too.

    P.S. - I remember you from when you were pregnant! You are gorgeous so I can see where she gets her looks!

    -I turned 29 just a few days ago.

    -I have been married for almost 2 years, but we have been together nearly a decade.

    -No children yet, though we desperately want one. We have been trying well over a year and are starting the testing phase.

    -We have a giant Labrador who we love.

    -Fall and Christmas are my most favorite times of the year. ♥

    @Ms.Badger: Its all I do, I haven't found a full time job, although I haven't put too much effort into it. Now that I am pregnant I probably won't look for a while since my coaching hours work better for us and childcare. I work with all the levels, preschool-level 9 team. My favorite, and specialty, is working with young kids to get onto team. Its a very developmental stage and I think its a lot of fun, but I like having a variety of classes to teach. Its fun to have this connection with people, there are so few gymnastics coaches in the world!

    @gingerblonde: I hope you find the support here you need; your daughter is beautiful! I'm also really struggling with pp weight loss. BFing did nothing for me (and may have even sabotaged me).

    @spaniellove: yeah, I wouldn't have picked her breed as my third dog, but my MIL got her and then decided a week later that puppies were 'too much work' :P. She's cute, but I'm not a terrier person.

    I prefer "Yochon" to "Borkie"

    @Willow: Welcome! Oooh, I bet that makes for an energetic puppy

    @loopedd: Thanks!
