I hate when people post blanket invites on FB. If you *really* want me there, send a dang invite! Even just a FB message! It's annoying! I never end up going to those things because who knows if they actually want me there!

Hmmm...yes I would be a little weirded out by this too not knowing if *she* wanted me to attend. She should have sent out a private message to everyone for addresses! Weird, does she not have a ton of friends on FB?

I would be pretty upset as the person HOSTING the shower that she was just trying to invite everyone she knew! Who does that???

I had a friend who posted her registry on her FB. *eye roll*

Maybe you can look at this as an excuse not to go? Like, oh bummer missed your FB post...

I wouldn't even respond regardless if our DHs were best friends. If she really wanted me there, she'd invite me personally. Not a fan.

I would absolutely pretend like I didn't see the post. I think that is a really crass way to organize a shower guest list and she shouldn't expect anyone to be okay with being 'invited' that way.

I'd ignore it too. Since your husbands are best friends, I'd be surprised if she doesn't already have your address - if she wants to invite you properly, she can.

DH's family does this ALL the time! So weird and awkward For baby showers, bridal showers, etc. and it's same person asking for addresses. If I give you my address once because I want to come, at least keep it and just send me an invite the next time you throw something if you want me there!

They also put up a status saying " send me your address so I can send out wedding invitations" and tagged the people they wanted to come. Wtf??
