Gosh, I feel like people have a right to privacy wrt to their data, no matter where it is. I think the problem with this is that it is a site for married people to have affairs and society feels like this is a bad thing. So these people who used the site are okay to be judged.

I wouldn't like it if my online shopping history, credit card info and personal addresses were dumped to a site, doesn't matter if it is Home Depot or even this site for that matter. So no, I don't plan to look.

I just want to know if Ben Affleck was cheating on Jennifer Garner. Is that too much to ask???

Neither DH or I knew this site existed so I'm not too concerned about people in my personal life!

I didn't look but dh did at work! One of his co workers is on there apparently there are 15k emails ending in .mil or .gov--who is dumb enough to use their work email?!

I'm curious if any of the "family values" public figures will be on there, but not curious enough to go look myself. And it never occured to be until a post that Dan Savage made on FB about it last night to even consider looking for D (but I think he's just too lazy to cheat on me, especially like this :silly:). As for other people I know, what they do is their business, not mine (I'm curious about the family values public figures just for the hypocrisy angle...)

@BandDmommy: Meh...! If my shopping record was posted it would just be petrol, groceries and pregnancy tests (mostly the latter!)!!

@Cherrybee: Yeah, D can't access my email, but the government can, and I'm almost certain using government property for this would get me fired!

DH told me about this site a few weeks ago.

I would prefer not to know if there are any cheaters in my life. I know of a friend and I can't look at him the same anymore.

DH would be incredibly dumb to use a site like this and I highly doubt he would. I'm not worried about him.

@MRSJX3: Glad I'm not the only one! I'm not "concerned" about anyone, I'm just totally curious.

@.twist.: I heard it was a giant file too. I'd be worried about downloading it because I'm nervous about viruses. Seems like some other genius computer people could download the file and make it more user friendly for the common curious folk. I'd like to be able to just click ctrl+F and search for a name.

I was reading about this on Reddit and apparently there are a lot of emails that have "Pastor" "Bishop" etc. in them. (PastorJohnSmith) What kind of idiot uses their work email for this.

I haven't looked and I'm not tempted-- I feel like it's so hypocritical that (most) people are all for Net Neutrality and then think that it's acceptable to look up people's personal internet usage. I think it's a dick move to look up your friends/co-workers/etc. because you're curious.

@MrsTiz: Exactly! Like.. I'd never think to search anyone b/c if it were me I would obviously use some random email that no one knows?!

@MRSJX3: I kind of disagree with her about these people being too stupid to cheat smart. I think it's that these people just don't care and don't see anything wrong with doing what they were doing. Because anyone that did would take the extra 5 minutes to attempt at least a surface level of anonymity.
