We bought it because we needed a narrow seat and I had high expectations because everyone just RAVES about them. Maybe too high of expectations...because I hate it. I *much* prefer our Britax CT seats. Am I missing something?! Or am I just crazy haha

What do you not like? We have two and I like them, but have never used another convertible seat so I can’t compare.

I feel like for the money (because they are $$$...we got ours on sale for $299) they don’t have ANY bells & whistles. Things I wish it had: a no-retread harness adjustment, a crotch buckle that wasn’t annoying, a bubble for leveling (not a necessity, but like I said, for the money...) We just tried to install via LATCH today and gave up because we were in a hurry and it looked so annoying to do (Which I thought was th opposite of what latch was supposed to provide) Most importantly, I feel like when our Britax CT’s are installed they. are. SOLID. I can never get the same install with the Clek. Waaaah. Poor me I know haha.
ETA I like the recline options on our Britax too!

Same! I bought mine in the fall if 2016 and I much prefer my daughter’s diono radian as a car seat! My biggest gripe with the clek fllo is that the straps pinch my son’s neck when I am tightening them (if he’s not wearing a jacket due to warm weather). I recently flipped the strap pads so that the snaps are on the inside, closer to his neck, which has helped, but it still isn’t perfect. Unfortunately, I didn’t realize this would be a problem until almost 8/9 months after buying it, so once the weather got nicer and we started experiencing this problem, it was too late to return it. I DO like the rebound bar for rear facing though. My son is almost 27 months old and he still has normal legroom while rear facing.

Agreed - I don’t love it either, we have three different types of car seats the and Cleks are the worst. The crotch buckle is terrible!

we only have a couple others to compare to, but we love our foonf and fllo! easy to clean, easy to install, nice and high up and sturdy. also, really thin so we can fit 3 across.

I sometimes wonder with baby and kid gear (well, lots of products I guess) if there is this phenomenon where if people spend a lot of money on a product that “everyone” supposedly loves, that you feel like you *should* love it too, even if you don’t. And sometimes feel like you can’t complain. I feel this way at times. I don’t feel badly complaining about the cheapie booster high chair, but I take pause before complaining about the expensive high chair that everyone has and regret not getting a different, less expensive one that my seasoned mom friends reccomended. I have two friends who hate their uppababy vista but won’t talk about it because “everyone” loves the vista and it’s the must have stroller where I live, but it’s huge and bulky and neither use it anymore.
A little off topic, but just to echo what you said, no rethread harnesses suck!!

I don't have experience with the clek fllo, but I have to say that I LOVE the Britax CT. SO EASY TO INSTALL! I mean, holy cow. Just feed the belt through, pull it tight and click...done. I struggle with the latch installs. We have a Britax convertible for our youngest that doesn't have Click-Tight, and I struggle every time. The CT has made our lives so much easier!

We have a Foonf and a Radian, and my kids fight over who gets to sit in the Foonf, just because it sits up higher and they can see more. But I usually make my oldest sit in the Radian since she's already taller.
I totally dislike the crotch strap. But the kids don't seem to notice or care. I don't ever install car seats or rethread the straps (DH does that, but we only have one car so we don't install often--couple times a year I guess).
The only thing I have to compare it to are the cheap seat I bought for my mom's house in Georgia and I hate both of those seats with a passion. They are both super cheap Walmart seats and those are TERRIBLE to install and they are enormous so no one can sit between the kids.
Anyway, I have to have 2 narrow seats, so my field is limited to the Radian or one of the Cleks, and they are about the same to me. Kids prefer the Clek for the height.

interesting - I am really disappointed in my Britax CT. I feel like it is never quite snug enough, and it perpetually tilts to one side...I assume because of how my child climbs into it, no matter how much I re-center it. Despite how much it cost, I'm planning to get a new seat when we switch to forward facing.

@MrsLonghorn: that is so funny you say that about the tilting—I’ve never had that problem with our CT, but the Clek was AWFUL with slowly tilting!
@Littlebit7: yes. This. Totally. You drop a bunch of money, so you “have” to love it!
Sorry I somehow missed all these replies! To update, I sold the Clek! We had an extra Britax CT that we are using now, and we will purchase another for DS3, probably not until Black Friday
